Is there any word what is going to happen with this guy? Is he going to be suspended? Does he have any dynasty value at all?

granted we only have 22 roster spots in our dynasty leagues, but I dropped him in several leagues a few months ago.

While I don't know what they are, there are different parameters to suspending players. I realize he's not suspended "yet", but that's what I'm getting at.

While one player may be able to serve a suspension while not on a roster, other players can't serve a suspension until they "are" on a roster. Here lies the question surrounding Chris Henry. I don't know which parameter he falls under. It's something you'd have to research.

He will most certainly be suspended though, sooner or later, depending...

CINCINNATI -- Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

The Bengals released Henry on April 3 after he was arrested for the fifth time. Henry is scheduled for trial June 24 in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on charges of assault and criminal damaging. A man accused Henry of punching him in the face and breaking his car window with a beer bottle.

Henry had received permission from the judge to try out with other NFL teams, but the suspension puts an end to that.

If Henry is acquitted, the suspension could be lifted, Henry's agent Marvin Frazier said. If Henry is convicted, he faces at least a one-season suspension under the league's conduct policy. Henry was suspended for the first eight games last season for violating the policy, his second suspension from the league during his three-year career.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the indefinite suspension Friday.

Henry has been arrested five times since the Bengals made him a third-round draft pick out of West Virginia in 2005. His misconduct was one of the factors that prompted Goodell to tighten the league's policies last year and strengthen its punishment for players who get in trouble with the law.

Henry is the second former Bengal player trying to get back into the NFL with another team following a series of suspensions. Linebacker Odell Thurman, a second-round pick in 2005, was suspended earlier this month for the 2008 season after violating the league's substance abuse policy again.

Thurman sat out the last two seasons after skipping a drug test and getting arrested for drunken driving. He was reinstated by the league in April, but the Bengals released him last month after he skipped a series of voluntary workouts. Then, he was suspended again by the league.

what are owners of Henry in dynasty leagues doing with him. are they holding or going to drop him. I'm guessing I should wait til his trial is over to make a decision

If you're in a deep dynasty league (~40-man rosters) then I think you hold him for a year and see what shakes loose. He'll get another shot, and history virtually guarantees that someone will sign him and see if they can make work what the Bengals could not. He's got great talent which is not easily found in a rookie draft or on the waiver wire, so why not?

I don't see any harm in saying this since it's not going to affect any of my leagues. If you currently have Henry on your roster (or can pick him up off waivers for free) keep him there until the end of June to see how his trial turns out. If he is cleared of the charges, he will be free to play again, and he will find his way back on an NFL roster.

I cut held him in three or four leagues and cut him in everyone. He is suspended for a year. Assuming Roger G. does not think of a reason to extend that there are only a handful of teams that would touch him and then you are still dealing with a guy who can't even get a jaywalking ticket. Oh yeah, for all of that you really still have will have questions about his on field production. Too many ifs even in the largest leagues.

He was actually suspended indefinitely until the results of the trial, which starts June 24th

I'd hold Henry. He clearly has talent.

At this point, IMO, he's suspended indefinitely b/c of the trial later this month. Weird things happen in trials and if the charges are dropped, then I think the league may revisit their decision.

I don't think I'd trade for him unless it was a late round rookie pick 5th or higher
