Seems reasonable. I'd take it if I needed a WR.Forgot to mention. I was offere Meachem for Ivory. I have no need for Ivory this week on next. However Wayne is on a bye and Floyd is doubtful this week so Meachem may be servicable.
In Dynasty Ivory has way more value than you might think. PT could in all probability could be gone after this season. Still not worth a #1 pick though.Someone offered me Welker and Ivory...all I needed to give him was Mike Wallace and my 2011 1st round pick.Child please
Even if it is a HAS, he's been resting fully since the start of week 4. He can't be too far off from making his return. The game after the bye at the latest, and no one will be starting a saints RB against Pitt so why would Ivory's value not be low. Although if I was a PT owner I would be worried about the split once he returnsI don't understand why his value is so low. Despite what NO is admitting PT most likely has a HAS and there is still swelling. I don't think he will be back till after bye week 11. Bush DOES NOT play the same role as PT. They play different roles. Ivory with another solid to great week may cement himself for the rest of the way.
Traded ivory and first Ed rookie pick (will be no lower than 12 of 16-I'm a favorite) for Matt schaubMeachum is a good offer. Depends on what you need worse a RB or a WR.
I'd say you got a steal. A one-week fill-in, and risky at that, for a guy that could pay off the rest of the season even when Thomas comes back.Just got him from the DJax owner for Avant.
It was me who offered that trade and I'll say I really did not perceive to be a one sided deal at all. When I made the trade offer I had read a lot of good things regarding Ivory's game last week but I had not actually watched the game but only saw a few highlights. From what I read it sounded to me like Ivory had a good chance to carve out a large role for the next few weeks and still maintain a role when PT and Bush got back. Than a day or so after you turned down the trade I got around to watching him play last weeks game and I was truly blown away. His impact in the passing game will probably continue to be minimal, at least for this season, but I thought he ran like Marion Barber with speed. Mike Bell led that team in carries last season and I think Ivory can take that role this season and do it with the upside Bell lacked. Next season PT is a FA and Bush has a prohibitive contract. If Ivory can stay healthy I think he's going to end up sticking around as a part of the Saints backfield for awhile. About that trade. For me I have Reggie Bush so I think Ivory offers some additional value to me. You said you would rather have Wallace than Welker. That's fine but during the draft you offered me Wallace and more for Welker and that's at a time when Welker was not thought to be ready for until maybe week 6. You post here like I offered you some terrible trade but how I was I to know you know devalued Welker so much despite the fact he's actually doing way more than I thought already? Wallace meanwhile looks just like the player I thought he was. A blazing fast player with a lot of upside but one who won't see a consistently large amount of targets leading to low catch totals and inconsistent week to week totals. Wallace has big time potential and Welker is more consistent and also has just as much fantasy potential since it does not getting any better than being the #1 WR in PPG performance in PPR leagues last year. My main reason for making the trade offer is Welker is my only for sure core player over 25 and I wanted to trade him in for a WR that fit the age of my team better. For you I thought you needed a RB and you do. You just spent a wad of FA money on Woodhead who I like and all but the fact you had to be so aggresive to get him speaks to your need. Like I said I had know idea of how to know your perception of Wallace vs Welker had changed so much and I thought I offered you a solid trade, certainly not something so bad it was worth coming on a message board posting like it was some kind of gross insulting offer. In Dynasty Ivory has way more value than you might think. PT could in all probability could be gone after this season. Still not worth a #1 pick though.Someone offered me Welker and Ivory...all I needed to give him was Mike Wallace and my 2011 1st round pick.Child please
We still don't know if the "one week fill-in" will end up being Avant or Ivory (maybe both or neither).I'd say you got a steal. A one-week fill-in, and risky at that, for a guy that could pay off the rest of the season even when Thomas comes back.Just got him from the DJax owner for Avant.
