now that brian griese is gone (and not resigning) the bucs have chris simms as their undisputed starting QB heading into 06'. he's shown the maturity, arm strength, and now has two years under his belt learning from gruden

the team has also added some nice skill position weapons over the past two seasons and might be an offensive lineman away from being a great team on that side of the ball. anyone else believe that chris simms might be a nice find later on in fantasy drafts this season?

 i like the surrounding talent and the continuity on offense:

cadillac, pittman & alstott in the backfield

galloway, clayton & alex smith catching passes

and you know the defense is going to put the offense in some nice situations

Gruden is doing his best to turn Tampa into a run-first offense. Don't expect Simms' numbers to be very high even though he will likely be very efficient. I expect an average of 200yds and maybe 1 TD from him.

:goodposting: I wouldn't waste a high draft pick on him.

He has his pros and cons

-pros- Look at Grudens QB's fantasy value when he had his own team in Oak. He is still dealing with a defensive team left over from Dungy. As time goes on they will shift to an O powerhouse.

-cons- Since Gruden has been in Tampa, I don't think 1 QB has made it thru the whole season. Fantasy wise I would be eye balling Rattay and Mcnown. They have the chance to come in and do what Simms did this year. Seriously, our O-line is bad.
