Chump Kelly (1 Viewer)

its the run-n-shoot all over again. Where is Buddy Ryan when you need him, ya know, the guy who punched K. Gilbride on the sidelines for dopey play calling?

eagles lose, their fans are bitter......Its Christmas time......All is right in the world.

I hope brad fletcher is still wearin green next season.

Sorry all, this thread was created back in my bad-posting days. However, at the time he had a couple bad games in a row with some very questionable coaching decisions as well. Obviously this team has done a complete 180 since then and looks much better than it did earlier in the season (although they have had a pretty easy schedule since then too). A big part of that is also they have a real QB now instead of that joke named Mike Vick (who I was one of the few who were critical on Vick earlier in the year). I'm not sure if the organization told Kelly that he had to start Vick or if he really thought Vick was the better QB, for his sake, I hope it was the former.
Sorry for apologizing for this thread, as I was correct from the start, just like the TRich thread which I also apologized for too early but ended up being correct. Chump Kelly cost a talented Eagles team any shot at the playoffs with his poor coaching all season long. The team has mainly put up good stats based on having talent despite of his coaching lapses.

A special thanks to the following true trolls for bumping this thread whenever the eagles won in spite of this chump:

Deamon

Kool-Aid Larry

Raider Nation

I love how these posters will bump every thread they get a chance if someone was wrong (despite if they are actually correct or not -- such as did the Eagles win due to superior coaching or because they were the the better team despite the coaching?) yet refuse to bump correct posts in the same scenario.

Hail to thee who wins the false tooth award on a message board, while his other teeth are lost in his couch.

He inherited a 4-12 team and has gone 20-12 but he's a chump? That's good stuff.

This seems like a drunk post and one that you'll regret making in the morning. He's made some mistakes but he's been far from a chump. The Eagles have been respectable both years under his reign despite an evident lack of talent on defense. Some of that his fault from personnel decisions but some of it is also what he inherited. This year he had to work with a backup QB for half the year and many injuries on the O-line. I think he absolutely needs to show improvement next year (particularly on the defensive side) but we should give him at least another year before calling him a chump.

yea, this eagles team is just a few pieces from being pretty scary. not sure what the cap situation is, but I'd bet they'll be right back in contention for the east next season.

Potential estimates has at about $35 mil under.

I'd agree, and any coach should be able to do well with this team, a coach having a winning record does not mean the coach did a good job. One of the worst coaches in the league (John Fox) continues to keep his job despite being absolutely terrible, mainly because Manning makes that team not the coach.

Absolutely right, Sanchez does equal Manning.

This is funny. Very few teams can compete in the NFL once they lose their am starting quarterback. Kelly is a top 10 coach in the NFL.

I bet it would be a riot to watch some of the old NE games w/ some of you guys...

I imagine we've all heard about coaching to players strengths...

Thee Patriots Coach has made quite a few game calls based on his teams shortcomings..

p.s. I forget exactly what your upset about , but if your team is down early ? Tell me how you would react as a coach. If the team was good, and the difference if it was hopeless..

IMHO it totally changes play calling. Why send a msg that your team sucks (if it don't).

I would like to know you take bud after tonight. Just curious if you are still drinking the glass half full

The Patriots had 1 bad season with Belichick and have been winners ever since. Chip Kelley is into Year 3 with nothing to show for it.
nothing to show for it? he took a 4 win team to back to back 10 win seasons. He gets a good grade so far no matter how you spin it. 3% of NFL teams win the super bowl each year. Relax.

Not looking good so far...played two pretty middling teams and lost. The Bradford experiment is looking like a fail, although you guys dodged a bullet when his agent got greedy and took negotiations off the table.

Yes we did. That is looking great right now. Cut bait and find a real qb

What people don't realize is the Eagles are a bad team and have have been for many years. It was time for Andy to leave and I am happy to see him have success. I am also buying in 100% into Chips program. Realistically, this is a minimum 3 year process. Lets face it Chip is working with guys even Andy couldn't win with. Let Chip have a couple offseasons then make your remarks.
Ok.. It's been three years. What now?

Move on from Turd boy

Somewhere in the wash of all this is that Chip came into the league with as about as much "can do" as any college coach can. For him to fail will hurt the chances of the next guys breaking in from college.

Oh well. Twenty more years of retread coaches like wade Phillips isn't the worst thing, huh?

Ego is always the downfall of guys like Chip. Murray pisses him off. Chip makes it personal and wants to make an example of him. Puts him on the end of the bench. Doesn't matter if it hurts the team.

....because Murray has played so well this season?

I figured that would be the response from an Eagles fan. Mathews fumbles. Put him right back in. It's personal. Clear as day to see.

I'm a Redskins fan and Murray has been bad for them this year. Kelly sitting Murray down shows he's at least not trying to jam that square peg in a round hole to try and justify his poor GM decision.

No, flapgreen must be right. It certainly couldn't have anything to do with the team running itself into the ground for the first eleven games with Murray as the lead back. Your facts have nothing to do with it. Only a personal issue.

He clearly pulled the plug way too early. If Murray was in there this game would be ours.

He is 15-for-15 on third- and fourth-down situations and was 12-for-12 on third- and fourth-and-1 situations in particular.

Didn't see any facts shown. What did I miss?

That's exactly what I said.
