What does this word mean? I get hetero means straight and patriarchy means male-dominated, but what is cis?

Cis means "on the side of" as in alignment so we're talking about the class based oppression of gender and sex.

Cisgender is the antonym of transgender.

So it's just including gender identity in the definition. A society that innately favors gender-aligned, straight, males. I suppose they'd want to throw Caucasian in as well if they really wanted to cover their bases.
