Top 5 no-skip albums - your personal list (1 Viewer)

Television - Marquee Moon
Led Zeppelin 1
Miles - Kind of Blue
Pink Floyd- Animals
Metallica - Master of Puppets

I mean I could name countless albums but those are the first that came to mind

Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Led Zeppelin - IV
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
The Alarm - Strength
Ac/Dc - Back in Black

So many possible other choices, but these are old cassettes, CDs and vinyl that I have never skipped a song. Abbey Road is a great album, but sometimes I skip Come Together or Octopus' Garden. DSOTM is great, but sometimes I skip Money. I don't skip anything on Master of Puppets or Justice for All. This really is an impossible task, so I'm just going to leave it at the 5 I put up there and call it a night.

Clutch - "Blast Tyrant"
Joe Walsh/Barnstorm - "Barnstorm"
Porcupine Tree - "In Absentia"
Masters of Reality - "Blue Garden"
King's X - "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska"

i dropped my cd collection on a beach and they got all scratched up so none of them are no skip at this point take that to the bank brohans

I restarted my vinyl collection about five years ago and committed to only buying albums that I will listen end to end. For the most part, I’ve stayed true to that commitment, with the collection now over 400. I’m still doing some research on my list, so in the meantime I will add my granddaughter’s favorites.

She is turning 2 this summer. We have “dance party” every Thursday and Friday when we look after her and she definitely knows what she likes. Without further ado, here is Baby Punk’s top no skip albums …

1. Beatles - Rubber Soul
2. CCR - Cosmo’s Factory
3. The James Cotton Band - 100% Cotton
4. Paul Simon - Graceland
5. Michael Jackson - Off the Wall

I’ll try to slip other albums on that I think she might like but she just shakes her head at me and say “NO” until I play one of these. This kid already has me wrapped around her finger … I better start putting money away for her car now.

I don’t think I ever skip a song on the first 4 Metallica albums. What a run.

It is a tough task.

No skip? I've alluded to it in at least one countdown, but for me it's Hot Fuss by the Killers. On account of tracks 1-5 (Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine, Mr Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I've Done) are probably the strongest first five tracks of anything I've ever heard. From there, track 6 and 9 are also pretty solid as well, and once I'm half way through the album, I may as well play it out

Your granddaughter has better musical taste than 99% of the FFA.
