CJ spiller vs 49ers - who are you sitting him for? (1 Viewer)

Just curious. People seemed to have cooled tremendously on him and I understand the reasoning: injury, return of fjax, not a good showing last week and now tough matchup this week.

But I think that many people will regret benching him today unless they are benching him for another very solid player.

I think he will do well vs sf. Sf can bottle up a traditional running attach but if the bills use spiller correctly in this game and use his speed to get him to the perimeter and a lot of screens in the pass game I think he will do real well.

So I'm just curious, if you are sitting spiller this week, who are you starting in his place?

I agree with you! For the record I'm starting him over Fred, brown, James jones and Battle.

We'll see. He reminds me of Charles' role two years ago. Home run hitters like that defy matchup.

I've been going back and forth between him and D.Brown for what feels like a decade now. Still undecided. Talent vs. situation.

In my lineup today, but not with high confidence. Bye week & short bench make it necessary, but I discount the last week showing a bit. I don't believe he was healthy, or at least not 100%, and RBs with shoulder issues are not a good mix. He seemed to come out of last week with no recurrence of the injury, so I expect he'll be better this week.

Hoping for a few receptions and maybe breaking one. Expectations are low RB2/flex for the week.

The kid is just so explosive. The Charles comparison is very apt. If he gets 10-15 touches on a weekly basis he should end up a top 10 rb.

I personal can't and won't sit him unless I am starting a top rb or wr in his place

I want to be on board here. Clearly, he has top 5 talent. There's just so much working against him that I perceive his floor to be extremely low this week.

starting sproles & ridley.

need to see how they plan to use the 2 of them. playing SF eases the decision some.

Yes this is what I'm thinking. Except I think he is better than Charles :o
Agreed. And he has the passing game value of the old Charles. Definitely has the ability to be matchup-proof. I have him as teh #7 RB in dynasty (Spiller, that is). Not benching him unless he's seriously injured.

The only silver lining I can see in spiller's last 2 weeks of did performances is that during that time fjax has also done didley squat and they have almost evenly split carries.

But I'm gonna stick with spiller in my flex for a few more weeks before I decide to play the matchups with him. The bills aren't going to fall shins like this in every game.

That said, he disappointed today.
