FYI flappy bird has been ported to the C64My friend who plays clash of clans came over to my house on monday and I was drunk, like, you know, and wilely and just plain ####### rude I turned the conversation to Flappy Bird, which this girl who was there kept playing some weird copy of it that's slower and easier, and then conversation sort of dipped, from there, after I let the girl play the original version of Flappy Bird on my iPad, into this wistful and ####in' plaintive call for the simpler times, of games ala C64 etc., which is such a funny and ignorant conversation to be involved in that it makes me clap my hands gleefully, like a ####### scélérat with a ####### chat, like when you meet an American from Atlanta who hates black people and you shower in this beautiful idiocy and pray no one ruins the flow of delicious stupid.
Then around the metaphorical conversational corner, Clash of Clans peeked, and this real ugliness and loathing reared: people wishing harm to players of it, voicing utter loathing of not just the players, but who they are as people, and how they live their lives economically and socially and as if their foulness for playing this game is tangible and real and renderable to glue and by-products etc with this denouement that enveloped time and space and the viscerality of the CoC's meat bubbled with disease and a moistly discharging viral load being wetly ground & amputated from like a ####### unshaved armpit/groin.
My friend frowned, like, and quietly deleted Clash of Clans as he stood awkwardly in the doorway, and whatever hard work he'd invested from a year, that lost time like a ragged flag in the wind, all soiled and lonely kinda with the embedded rope ringlets tapping hollowly on the steel pole when no one is around, and he is currently 600xp ahead of me on Duolingo this week, for French, which I'm only learning so I can read voyage au bout de la nuit that I picked up at a garage sale because it looked interesting and I thought it was just like, weird offshoot invested passion but I just looked in his car, and on the dash he's got already fondled and creased print outs of conjugation of manger and boire and I'm like, stuck going que and laquelle and c'est quoi and c'est quoi and c'est quoi
If you see them just standing on their pedestal, then they are in a powered down mode and won_'t do anything. If they're roaming around, they'll come after your troops and slaughter them. Can someone explain the heroes, and how they work on defense? I just skip over bases that have them because I don't know how their AI works when they're on D. TIA.
My TH6 upgrades are a drag. I'm getting my #### pushed in everytime I logoff losing over 150k each on each attack. I still have over 12 worker days of defense upgrades. I think I am going to take the opportunity to max out everything at this level and do my TH7 upgrade and try to match all the barracks while I am on vacation for a week starting next Friday. If you see them just standing on their pedestal, then they are in a powered down mode and won_'t do anything. How are those TH6 upgrades going? If they're anything like mine, there's a whole lot of waiting around right now.
Have you tried putting your TH outside your walls? I typically lose only about 1000 of each when they take my TH, so basically a free 12 hour shield 90% of the time. I think they have a similar range of the clan castledo the king and queen react no matter where you put units down, or do they have a range in which your units have to enter into for them to engage?

I was wondering that as well, thanks.I think they have a similar range of the clan castledo the king and queen react no matter where you put units down, or do they have a range in which your units have to enter into for them to engage?
I do that, but with no wizards or mortars I'm getting crushed 100%. I don't really care and just go right back to attacking immediately.Have you tried putting your TH outside your walls? Do we know the answer to this question? If it bumps the upgrade time, that would be useful. Otherwise I doubt I'll boost anything.Kind of sucks to get a boost for something I can't even get yet. And will that be a boost in spell making times, or a boost in upgrading the spell center?

I forgot you had said you had everything down. I think I know what the problem is hereBoth my wizard towers and both mortars are down for upgrades now. Needless to say I'm a nice target.
I had basically the same experience. Just not really doable at that level unless you're constantly being fed high dark elixer troops from your clan.My quest for 1250 at TH5 / early TH6 has flamed out. Got up to about 1160 but at that level almost nobody leaves their TH exposed. Worse, the bases I could take down had next to 0 resources so I've been having trouble paying for giant upgrades and the barracks upgrade to get the healer. Back to resource raiding while I max out my troops at this level I guess.
And the range is based on where the hero is at the moment, not based on where his building is. When you have him, you can click on him and see his range move with him.I was wondering that as well, thanks.I think they have a similar range of the clan castledo the king and queen react no matter where you put units down, or do they have a range in which your units have to enter into for them to engage?
when using him offensively, do you usually deploy him last? And the range is based on where the hero is at the moment, not based on where his building is. I agree the barb king is pretty easy to take down with archers and barbs, or any flying unit. Just lure him away from defenses first so you're able to solo him. He does massive damage when he hits, but he swings slowly. So a mass of smaller units can whittle him down quickly and only take a few losses. Giants would be wasted against him as I believe he'd take one down every swing or every other swing. Better to lose 2 barbs than 1 giant with those swings.
I was reading up on this also.. the sub 200 farming technique apparently is meant to target those 30k bases for two reasons. You can take the gold easy and you can take it quick so farming becomes nonstop. So I was reading attack strategies last night, and came across a claim that below 200 trophies that bases suddenly start appearing that are often easy looting. Person claimed you could make 500k-1m in an hour of just goblin raids.
I decided to check it out and took the plunge. At first I was doing real raids but losing intentionally, but when you get way down there you only lose like 3 trophies a loss, so finally I had to just drop a single barb and quit repeatedly.
From about 350 down to 200 I was seeing nothing but utter newbs with only a few hundred resources. The moment I hit 199, the next 5 bases I looked at were TH6+ with a lot of resources.
So at first I was thinking I hit the lottery. Though after playing at that level a lot, I think those first few bases were a lucky stretch. I do find a lot of bases I can easily plunder, but I'm not sure my ROI is much better than it was living at the 1150 trophy level as a TH7. There are a lot of 30k gold bases, etc, but not as many 100k and up bases. And the latter are more likely to be people above my level who are down there farming.
I may keep giving it a try for now and get a better feel for my ROI, but for now I'm not sure I'd suggest trying it. There is distinct difference at trophy counts of 199 or below, and 200 or above. If I get a win that put me at 200, good bases immediately disappeared until I dumped a trophy and then immediately they started showing up again.
Depends on the situation, though most of the time yes, I deploy him late and let him just help mop up buildings. That way he takes no damage, or such a small amount that his downtime is short enough he's available every raid.when using him offensively, do you usually deploy him last? And the range is based on where the hero is at the moment, not based on where his building is. So I got attacked about 5 times on each account, mostly by people just dropping 1 unit and quitting to drop trophies. Of course that pumped me up 150 trophies so now I have to drop down again to keep trying it.I'll try this nosedive approach. Why not?![]()
I don't know if this has been fully answered yet but:Can someone explain the heroes, and how they work on defense? I just skip over bases that have them because I don't know how their AI works when they're on D. TIA.
I did this when I was TH6 and 7. It works at TH8 too, but you won't be picking up much dark elixir there. If you can raid for a couple of hours without logging out, it's probalby the easiest way to get gold in the game.I was reading up on this also.. the sub 200 farming technique apparently is meant to target those 30k bases for two reasons. You're going to need about 1m elixir to upgrade to healer barracks and upgrade your giants as soon as Th6 is finished, both are a much higher priority than level 3 lightning, as I've learned the hard way. I'd save it.Upgrading to TH6. I got lots of elixer. Should I upgrade my lighting spell to level 3 in the meantime?
And yes, if you log out, you will gain trophies, and fast. You have to be able to be on for at least an hour to make it worth it, and probably needs to be more.I did this when I was TH6 and 7. It works at TH8 too, but you won't be picking up much dark elixir there. Go to the Supercell forums and search for xxyyzz. That should lead you to a thread with a video linked on the 3rd page or so (I quoted somewhere with those letters in the text). That's how I learned to go sub200. If you notice in one of the first couple of raids, he raids the same base back to back. One of the main rules of sub200 is that you should NEVER get more than 40% on good bases. Even leaving gold behind before you hit 40% is better than taking it all because often you will see that same exact base when you go right back to attack, and it will have 80-90% of the amount you raided the first time.
It's also better under 100 trophies.
Thanks. I don't really use my spell much anyway so I'll just wait. You're going to need about 1m elixir to upgrade to healer barracks and upgrade your giants as soon as Th6 is finished, both are a much higher priority than level 3 lightning, as I've learned the hard way. Giving up on trying to do this for the exact same reason.Meh, this 200 trophy thing really only works if you stay on constantly. Late last night I tried to check in and 5 times I had people attacking me so I logged off. I got in and I had jumped a few hundred trophies.
Cleaned up stuff this am and logged off only to find the same thing again.
I did finally get a shield from a guy that used 2 lvl5 heroes 3 jump spells and 135 level 5 archers on me.
Is there a list in here of who is who in the clan
