keif in the clan here,

i have not been around much, but whenever i am i'll keep donating dragons

currently i am focused only on upgrading all my collectors to max...kinda boring

i want to get enough elixir for level 2 dragons.....
Once I get my clan castle up to 20, I expect it to always be stocked with a dragon. Because it is probably the most hilarious thing to pop out on an attacker.

I think the most hilarious would actually be like 10 wall breakers or 5 balloons.

i freaking love unleashing 4 dragons in an attack

of course that's like 100 k elixir so it is not very profitable, but it is AWESOME

Hilarious for me, not for the attacker ;)

...though balloons might be decent on defense. They take forever to be lured. They produce splash damage. They fly. Someone needs to get on this.

i seem to have an odd allotment of tropps queded up

and now i have the following built

11 level 3 giants

20 level 3 barbarians

3 level 3 archers

4 dragons

8 level 3 wall breakers

a far too expensive force

Brony = Brony FBG Loser (wasn't aware that usernames could be repeated by multiple people)

About 2 months into this thing. I used to get disappointed if I was attacked and "lost", now it's like shrug: Same goes for shield... I used to not do a raid if I was under shield. Now, if I'm 30K short on something to get an upgrade, shield or no shield, I'll raid before I go to bed to get just enough to kick off the upgrade.

Having barracks down for an upgrade is the absolute worst.
My next upgrade gets me balloons which look cool but seem to provide little value so I've been putting it off solely based on everyone #####ing about being a barracks down for upgrades. Sooner or later I need to take the plunge.

8 PEKKAs are quite impressive as well, but at 280,000 elixir it's very expensive.

The only thing Balloons are good for is the single player campaign. If you can get rid of all the air defense then having one single balloon in your army wins you the rest of the map. All because there is no time limit. That one balloon can take 10 minutes slowly bombing everything to bits.

So for those asking about sub 200 results:

15gob, 17k gold

16gob 2 barb, 16k gold, 14k elixir

28gob, 1 barb 1 giant, 41k 60k

36gob, 2giant, 1 wb, 11k 44k

60gob, 4giant, 13wb, 1 archer 211k gold, 22k elixir

51gob, 3g, 4b, 1wb, 50k 26k

So in total, 196 goblins, 7 barb, 10 giant, 15wb, for 346k gold and 156k elixir. That's about 38 minutes of rebuild time to replace using 4 barracks, and the rebuilds are going during my attacks, which tend to last about 2-3 minutes including finding a base and updating barracks queues. So that 12 minutes isn't wasted time, so only about 26 minutes of actual downtime total for 346k gold and 156k elixir.

I found those bases very quickly, within 3 or 4 clicks normally and I wasn't being particularly picky. 346k/156k for 26 minutes of downtime is better than I was making as high end TH7 at 1150 trophies. It would take 26m to rebuild my whole army once. And I can probably run those numbers better if I'm more choosy on who to raid.

my problem was if I turned my back for 2 seconds I got raided hardcore by a mix of low level guys sniping my resources or high level guys wiping my base off the map. Twice I had 5 raids recorded. I think that's the max you can do before you get an auto shield?

that 211k raid skews things a bit. That was a lucky find

It does but it's not unheard of. I normally find more 100k/100k bases than that reflected so I think it probably about averaged out.

It ran hot and cold tonight though. I had some slow stretches, then suddenly I'd find a bunch of bases. Not sure if it's timing (people who got hit in the morning coming out from under shields at about the same time), or if it was trophy level as I kind of bounced around a lot.

I know most of you don't face these, but for those who do...

Inferno Towers. Anyone know how to beat them? When set on multi-target, they make Giant/Hog compositions ineffective since they can't be healed, and are always set behind lots of protection (and other defenses) with a big range to make smaller troops an ineffective approach as well. They have high HP so it will take at least 4 lightning storm to take one out (5 if it's level 2) which means you can't use any other spells if you wanted to go that rout. They seem just plain over-powered and I've been avoiding bases with them all together.

I was like the guys in Space Balls with the giant comb when I dropped down. It stunk.

Never faced one, but went and read up on them.

Sounds like if they are in single target mode you want to swarm them with low level units, or perhaps use a PEKKA but surround it with low level units who get there first so the odds of it targeting the PEKKA are low.

Multi-target I didn't see as much advice for, but I imagine you probably want to use your bigger, tougher troops since it isn't dealing the huge damage.

On the splash screen when the app boots up, do you ever read this as " 'Sup Urkel" instead of Supercell? Me neither

Also... if you can't heal them, maybe Rage them instead so they take it down faster?

Heal spells on a horde of hogriders

Found this online. Attacking people of lower TH level than yourself reduces how much resources you can steal by the following percent:

Town Hall and Matchmaking

There is a lot of confusion with regard to how Town Hall levels affect matchmaking. The short answer is, it doesn't. Matchmaking is based solely on Trophies. However, the loot available to gain is affected by Town Hall level. Players get reduced loot for attacking Town Halls of a lower level. The following table describes this reduction:

Town Hall Level Difference Percentage of Loot Available
0 100%
1 90%
2 50%
3 25%
4 or less 5%

It's important when upgrading the Town Hall to consider the above table, because it may affect one's looting considerably. It is also advisable to upgrade everything at the current level before moving to the next.

There is some speculation that the Town Hall may make a difference at sub-200 Trophy range. However, this has not been confirmed.

so, supposedly TH7 is the prime farming TH zone? why is that? last chance to hit TH5's and still get some loot?
Last chance to hit TH5's, extra loot from TH9 and 10 (while at the same time good loot protection from both), and a lot of the main troop upgrades are maxed until TH9.

right now i am biting the bullet and maxing my collectors....i have 5 elixir collectors

2 level 9 running

2 level 9 that are upgrading to level 10 and will be done in 2 days

and one level 10 that will be a level 11 in three days

kinda boring but i wanna get them all to max
