Clinching FF playoff spot early (1 Viewer)

I clinched the #2 seed last week in my FFL, so this week I have a meaningless game. For the first time since last year, I dont have to root for any of my players this week, so I think Im gonna just sit back and really enjoy football this week. Maybe Ill watch a complete game and not worry about flipping back and forth.

Im kind of hoping my players dont do too well this week - all players have bad games here and there, and Im hoping if any of my guys has a bad game in them, they get it out of their system this week. Part of my reasoning for hoping for this is Im playing the #1 seed this week, who is 11-1 and riding an 10 game win streak. Although Id definately like to snap the streak, this could be a FF bowl preview and I dont like my chances of beating him twice in 4 weeks (if we both make it to the bowl).

What do you do as far as watching games go once youve clinched a spot and dont need a win?? Watch your favorite team? Do something besides watch football? Root for your guys anyway?

ETA: Full rosters and league rules furnished upon request, cause I know you are all interested.

I clinched the #1 seed in Week 11...so I'm in the middle of enjoying a 3 week hiatus from worrying how many points my guys are putting up...all I get to worry about now is injuries and waiver pickups...it did make the games over Thanksgiving weekend interesting in a different way...which I suppose is an admission that fantasy football has significantly changed the way I watch football...

I have more than one league, so . . . . That said, I may actually go skiing this weekend since we just got dumped on in the Front Range. I watch my favorite team anyway, but I do a lot of flipping around. Maybe I'll do less this week, but probably not. I know I will be watching the games that are closest in score rather than the games with my players in them.ETA: Full rosters in the two leagues in which I have clinched my spot and league rules also furnished on request since i know you all really care how moderators do in their FF leagues. :D

You might want to flip back and forth just to make sure S. Smith's hammy doesn't pull up... or LJ doesn't have his head turned around again...Good luck... hope I didn't just jinxed you... :P

Exactly why Ill never post my roster hereI dont have either of those guys :P

I clinched last my div. and a week 14 bye last week. I probably won't watch much football at all this weekend.Ohio state is off and the browns aren't interesting. I view this as a good time to relax from ff and catch up with my family. Tracking my team all day sunday, figuring out what is needed monday. Then researching for possible ww pickups is enjoyable. But by week 10 or so I burn out a little bit. The wife was sick of my ff by the time I drafted. I look forward to this time of the season when I can focus a little less on my ff team until the playoffs start.A 1-2 week brake is nice.

I may actually go to Busch Gardens if the weather is decent -- just get away from football for one week. I can always catch the highlight show later.

Wow are you gonna be rusty when a meaningful game comes up ;)

I'm also starting my 2weeks of BYE's this week, and im out of it in my other league. . . .

It will be nice to just watch a game and not check the computer every 5 min or less. . . .and cince I have the NFL network and DVR, I can watch the shortened version of any of the other games next week.

Here's to hoping my players stay hot. . . . for 4 more weeks. . . .but they can rest for the next 2 if they want.

I'm clinched, so I figure it will be fun to start Jay Cutler and Sammy Morris in my meaningless game to give me something new to root for.

If they happen to explode, my playoffs opponents have more possible weapons to worry about. This is the sort of thing that keeps meaningless weeks interesting for fantasy purposes also.

:thumbup:Exactly why I am starting Tatum Bell this week. Been starting M J-D next to LT since TB got hurt, but it'll at least make Monday Night's game relatively interesting to me.
