Clinton Portis - Questionable - Late Game (1 Viewer)

Anything? I love the matchup but his GTD status worries me (even though he was QUEST last week and looked fine). He's very high on the cheat sheets, so particularly for those of us who need to set lineups by 1pm his status is important. Any news / thoughts one way or another, how he looked in practice, etc would be appreciated.Copying in the injury status here since I didn't add much otherwise:

[Fri Nov 21, 9:10 PM] Clinton Portis partially participated in Friday's practice and is questionable to play in Week 12. Portis will be a game-time decision for the second straight week. "He really is not full-speed," HC Jim Zorn said. "Would love to see him go, but that'll be game-time."[Thu Nov 20, 7:21 PM] Clinton Portis didn't practice Thursday, but HC Jim Zorn said he expects him to play in Week 12. He hopes Portis is able to practice tomorrow and Portis has said he definitely will play.[Wed Nov 19, 7:21 PM] Clinton Portis did not practice on Wednesday. Portis said Wednesday that his knee is still sore. "It's coming along," Portis said. "I'm sore, but I'm playing this week, no ifs ands or buts about it."[sun Nov 16, 9:43 PM] Despite reports throughout the week that Portis' sprained MCL would keep him off the field on Sunday night, he was active and played in both halves vs. the Cowboys after being listed as "questionable" to play on Friday. Portis decided in pre-game warmups that he could go vs. Dallas, and started the game strongly. However, the sore knee hampered him increasingly as the game went on. He'll be evaluated further as the week goes along. There are some that are speculating he might have aggravated his knee again. Stay tuned to see how this plays out this week.

Clinton Portis-RB- Redskins Nov. 23 - 8:26 am et

FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports that Clinton Portis will start at Seattle Sunday.

Like all early Sunday Morning Czar missives, take this news as likely, but not definite. We also expected Portis to start at Seattle despite a limited week of practice. In a good matchup, we'd start him. Keep an eye on our late inactives, coming around 3:30, just to confirm his status.

:excited:

I don't see where Schefter said this on NFL.com, but maybe he said this over the air. This is copied and pasted from Fanball's Newsbreakers:

11.23 Redskins: Portis will start

The News

Confirming at earlier report by FOX Sports, running back Clinton Portis will start today against Seattle, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.

Our View

Good news for Portis' owners, as he will face the Seahawks' 21st ranked run defense (115.5 yard per game), which has surrendered 4.0 yards per carry this season.

Mort just said on ESPN that Portis will play and that he is feeling better today than he did before the Cowboys game last week.

Anyone watching the game ? Portis is out did he get hurt or are they just resting him?
He almost scored and they took him out after the play, Betts ended up getting in from 1 yard out the next play. They were checking out his hip on the sideline... Then I changed the channel, so I'm wondering if anyone watching the game has heard an update?

Would've been nice if Betts didn't fumble and give the ball back to Seattle with 1:50 or so remaining, also.

Looks like we might go through this again next week - looks like he reaggravated the injury at the end of the game (which led to the Betts fumble). No word on whether he would have come back, but still not encouraging.

I doubt he would have. He looked like he was really hurting when he came out. He went to his knees then just laid on his back on grimaced. I hope he is alright for next week. I never want to see Betts carry the ball against the Giants again.
