Cobb when Jennings comes back (1 Viewer)

What are your thoughts on how Jennings return effects Cobb? My feelings are that he continues to play in the slot and have succes. I think Rodgers views him as too much of a weapon now to go back to being irrelevenat. I think James Jones is the odd man out.

How do you keep this guy off the field? Guy just makes plays.

I do agree with your comment that Jones probably loses the most value and they put Jennings/Nelson on the outside and use Cobb in the slot. They do run a lot of 4 WR sets anyways, so Jones will still be relevant as well. Very curious to see how it plays out when Jennings comes back.

he could even become more valuable. ie best 2 defensive backs are on nelson and jennings leaving 3rd or safety/linebacker on Cobb in slot.

That has to be illegal in Most states. I mean if Janoris Jenkins can't handle Cobb how can a Safety or LB handle him. ??? ;)

There are a dozen Packers/Jennings/Cobb threads out there already where this question has been posed and addressed.

No way they're keeping him on the bench. The guy catches everything thrown his way, and has the speed and moves to get open. He had 8 targets yesterday; caught them all.

Perhaps, but Jones led Packer receivers in snaps (65) and targets (10) on Sunday, had 3 end zone targets and still has no drops this season. Nelson had 57 snaps, Cobb 44, Finley 41. It's going to be a headache for fantasy purposes when Jennings returns, and a nightmare for opposing DCs.

I'm of the opinion that Cobb ends up being the #1 FF pass catcher on the Packers. The guy is just unstoppable, gets carries out of the backfield and Rodgers has a huge stiffy for the guy.

I'm sold. Will be starting him over Bowe and Dez regardless of matchup. Seems like Harvin light but on a much more potent offense.

Cobb is technically my #4 behind Julio, Nicks and Maclin. I'm extremely confident that he'll be holding legit value for the rest of the year and have no problem trading any of my other WRs to make room.

Technically he's your #1. Well at least in terms of points scored so far this season.

I'd bump him above Maclin, his value is not tied positively or negatively to Jennings - kudos to those who got to him first because this guy is on his way to stardom.

I have been playing FF for about 15+ seasons and have done my best to avoid WRs in these types of crowded situations. I have certainly left points on the table in doing so, but seem to find more consistency in the guys who just have one or maybe even two other viable options for the QB. For example, I only owned Harrison once (that is a prime example of where I left points on the table), Colston only as a rookie, etc. Well this year, I went Nelson/Cobb and just started them both and it gave me the win. The problem is, even if I just have one of those guys, I feel like I am looking at 5 points or 25 points and little inbetween. I guess I am doing fine with this setup (3rd place), but still when they put up paltry points and I sit them for the guy I KNEW would get me 10 and likely not more than 15, it is hard to stomach. With Jennings coming back, they literally have 4 guys who could go off at any moment...and that is considering the Pack does well that day...right now it is hard enough, but when Jennings returns, I could see it being a new "guy" every week.

Do you have any stats that actually confirm that guys like Marshall/Bowe/Percy/Wayne perform more consistently than guys like Welker/Colston/Roddy/Jordy? I'm betting that's just a fallacy. Remember VJax on SD? Regardless, a high powered offense can provide for several heads rather easily.
