COD: Black Ops 3 (1 Viewer)

I've been doing the campaign more now that double XP is over and some pretty funny topical humor coming from the world of 2025. The USS Barrack Obama (done pre-election or South Park style? Pre is my guess), Secretary of State Petraeus, sadly a little too late for that.

Still waiting for the space marines version of CoD level fps. I have some videogame producer friends that were telling me about it coming from the original Treyarch (?) guys. I want freakin' lasers and ####.

 
so, submachine guns are the way to go I've learned (based on a post here). What a huge difference it made to the K/D (at least for me so far).

 
Back in the saddle for a couple nights until family comes and sleeps in my TV room for like four nights. :rant:

 
Been hitting some higher streaks more consistently lately, got 3 stealth choppers in a game yesterday and I'm putting up more consistently high scores. Might eventually put on puppies and get to work :thumbup:

Excellent. Got my first (only) chopper yesterday too. In demolition. So not the same as you. I'm guessing you were in dom. What's your "ladder" to chopper in dom, like 2 caps + 5 kills + which KS?

I was playing 6v6 dom with Primetime, I always try to flank to B so sometimes don't get that cap. Most were kills. I was using Sentry Gun, VSAT and Chopper most of the day yesterday.

I think the new and improved sentry gun is my favorite killstreak, maybe ever. Been mostly playing domination, and people just don't know WTF to do with it. Put it in a good location at B and it will get you a ton of kills OR completely control the flag for you.

It's available instantly once you earn it and it's a fairly low killstreak that a scrub like me can earn fairly often.

 
This is a beautiful looking game. Finally, Treyarch has matched Infinity Ward with graphics. I've sold every Treyarch game, but I'll be keeping this one.

Still, where the #### is hardcore kill confirmed?

Nice. A few of us were in a Dom game the other night where we were losing most of the match. Near the end we started making a comeback, but were down to 1 flag with like 10-20 seconds left. With about 10 seconds left we capped B, and then one guy took their flag and triple capped them right as time ran out. We went from 2 pts down to 1 pt up right as the clock hit zero.

Was my first time playing anything other then Team Deathmatch. Never really played the multi-player games until now. My son played Black Ops 1 a ton, but I never really did. Now I think I will end up playing every night for a couple of hours before bed. Not very good yet, but hopefully I am getting better.I like Kill Confirmed, too. I take pleasure in grabbing every red tag that I can. Something about it saying "Kill Denied" just feels so good. :) I love picking up my teams tags.

FYI, the AA-whatever rocket launcher is glitched and doesn't level up. I got all the camos, or at least initial camos, but you can't prestige it. Treyarch said they're working on a fix. If you're going for unlocks and #### probably best to hold off using it for now.

 
This has been virtually unplayable today on the 360. Lobbies jump around, more massive lag, and nothing but: "Error-Can't Modify Session" notices all afternoon.

I really love the way they are handling scorestreaks with this one. Seems to be on the right track.

Killstreak kills counting towards the streak, but not helping as much as gun kills feels right.

I'm still not sure why everyone isn't spawning with a launcher in hand. UAVs everywhere and (in KC) taking one out is 50% more valuable than killing someone.

We play with people that wouldn't care, but I could see a lot of people getting snippy for taking their tags in KC now, with the confirm being twice as valuable as the kill (in terms of the killstreak/scorestreak). In MW3, it actually made sense for teammates to take confirms from each other (teammate got some XP while the killer gets just as much as he would if he'd have confirmed it).

Hmm, I'll have to think about this. I only have one class where I have ANY secondary equipped. But you make a good point. Maybe time to add in a launcher to a class or two.People may get mad about teammates taking the tags from their kills, but at least people are playing the objectives finally.

Yeah, and you can pickup your teammates tags to prevent the other team from grabbing them so that plays into it as well. I'm not sure how long the tags stay on the ground before going away. I could be wrong on that, they might stay on the ground until somebody grabs them.

Not long, but if you play it in teams of 2 it works well. I cant tell you how many times I have killed someone and gotten shot right after before I could pick up their tag. With a partner they can pick up the kill tag and the tag of their fallen teammate. Hell, in a lot of cases I have been able to run from spawn and pick up my own tag if I spawn close enough.I would never grab someone else's kill, though, unless I physically saw them die and knew they weren't going to be able to pick it up.

They do disappear. Just not sure how long they sit there. Time kinda moves at different pace when you're in the game. :)
 
I agree. And maybe this is just my perception, but working as a team is much more important in this COD. If you work as a team even a little bit, you're very difficult to beat. The maps are so small that watching each other's backs and closing down routes together makes a huge difference.
I noticed this tonight. The team we were against seemed very organized and was really racking up the kills.

I had an awesome night... lots of 35-40+ games... lots of wins and my k/d went from like 1.1 to 1.2. :thumbup:

 
I unlocked the FAL select fire last night. With the red dot site it is a beast of a gun even though the fire rate is still lower than any of the other full autos I have tried on the game. 2-3 shots is all it is taking for a kill. :thumbup:

I put the silencer on last night and it has good and bad but there isn't much recoil to begin with so it really doesn't help with that so think I will just go back to the red dot and select fire as my only two attachments. Just need to remember to switch to full auto, held back the button a couple of times at the start of games last night and I died fairly quickly when just 1 bullet came out. :bag:

Had a situation last night w/ Smoke and Gman where I was runnin beside some random and an enemy sticks his head out from the window above me. I proceed to take him out, and start heading into the buildling to go upstairs to grab the tag. Random teammate decides to break out into a full sprint up the stairs with me and freakin dolphin dives into the tag and steals it! Who does that?!I got no problem with teammates taking my tags if they are closer to it than I am, but that was ridiculous.

I'll admit to having to adjust my thinking on the tags. I played way too many rounds in MW3 where nobody bothered grabbing tags. My team would lose despite me grabbing 39-40 tags at times. I just got in the habit of grabbing every tag I see. I'm trying to be more conservative and not just sprint after shininess, but I still see guys get a kill and then run past them or in another direction.

Oh, and the PDW with RDS, extended mags and rapid fire is freaking amazing. I could run into a group of 3 enemies and as long as I had the drop or some cover I could take out all 3 with one clip.

I keep trying the Skorpion, but the range is terrible and it feels like I'm shooting nerf rounds. Maybe once I unlock extended mags it will help a bit, but right now it takes an entire mag to kill someone at medium to close range and that's a recipe for trouble when another guy rounds the corner.

Not going after them that way, just if they were near and I saw them I would run/walk through them just to pick them up. I like the "kill denied" just as much as the confirmed. Didn't even think about that that would be screwing my team mates over.I will say last night I learned to hate shotguns....one of the guys in our group was on the other side in the lobby since we had more than 6 and he just lit me up with a shotty. Seemed like everytime I came around a corner he was there to feed me buckshot. :rant:

There are several playing (me included) on the PS3. I am not 100% sure of my game tag but I think it is bogeys66, if it isn't that it is just bogey#### me up and I will invite you to some games and you can get to know some of the guys. Polardsvision is the one that got me involved with the group

Had a scrandom that did that to me the other day a couple of times in a match. Pisses me off to the max.

I haven't gotten that far yet (long way to go), but I think it works like this:1) You keep your cammos, emblems, and cosmetic stuff like that.2) You keep all attachments that you've unlocked, and all leveling for all of your guns.3) You lose all your guns and have to unlock them again. But once you unlock them, they're right where you left off.4) You lose all perks and have to unlock them again.5) You get one token that lets you unlock something permanently.Am I right on this?

I don't think anybody we play with would care and most are probably still noticing the difference from MW3. As Grove said, you'd find people in MW3 that wouldn't collect their tags because it didn't matter in the least for them personally. The killer and collector both got the same number of XP and collecting tags didn't impact the killstreak. For the team's sake, you had to stay on top of tags when people would do this.In this game, that won't be a problem. People will be tripping over themselves to grab those tags.

I just try to leave them if the killer is obviously close and will grab it. Certainly will be less likely to worry about it in a close, late game.

A nice benefit is that it might start weeding out snipers and other long-range campers out of Kill Confirmed. Hard to build a good killstreak without getting tags. Hopefully, it'll send most of those guys back to Deathmatch.

That's right. Plus you get to choose one of the three options: Extra custom class slot, complete stat reset, and full token refund (not sure why that last one would be a big deal. Not having enough tokens doesn't seem to ever be an issue).
