COD: Black Ops 3 (2 Viewers)

When you prestige, you get to keep all your stuff?
I haven't gotten that far yet (long way to go), but I think it works like this:1) You keep your cammos, emblems, and cosmetic stuff like that.2) You keep all attachments that you've unlocked, and all leveling for all of your guns.3) You lose all your guns and have to unlock them again. But once you unlock them, they're right where you left off.4) You lose all perks and have to unlock them again.5) You get one token that lets you unlock something permanently.Am I right on this?
Sound right... except I think re: #5, you have a few options for your token when you prestige. You can either use it to unlock something permanently, unluck another custom class slot, etc. You get 1 toke per prestige and have to choose from those options.

That's right. Plus you get to choose one of the three options: Extra custom class slot, complete stat reset, and full token refund (not sure why that last one would be a big deal. Not having enough tokens doesn't seem to ever be an issue).
Do you get the 1 permanent unlock PLUS one of the other options?

Yes.They've made prestiging much less of a pain than in the past. With keeping all gun attachments, there's not much reason not to do it. Easily worth doing for the custom slot.If you like the PDW or MP7, you can be back up full strength immediately. The only thing that mattered to me was having to go 14 levels without Engineer, which isn't a huge deal.

I was running black hat last night for the first time and it was nice to be able to fry the guardians and other equipment, but is there anyway to take it over like previous versions of COD? Being able to do it through walls is helpful, but I am not sure that is a perk I am going to keep if all you are doing is destroying it.

Looking forward to scavenger, ran out of bullets for the first time last night with the FAL. Was in a groove (1 game only of course) and died for the first time when I was running around looking for a gun to pick up.

Anyone playing on PS3?Got myself a PS3 last night for the first time ever and got the game.I don't even know how to add friends by my Playstation tag is: CzarNikolai
There are several playing (me included) on the PS3. I am not 100% sure of my game tag but I think it is bogeys66, if it isn't that it is just bogey#### me up and I will invite you to some games and you can get to know some of the guys. Polardsvision is the one that got me involved with the group

This really makes it sound like it should do just that. I haven't tried it yet though.

The one thing I wish was different is that I wish you could customize your Scorestreak for each class. Sometimes you roll with UAV and they're getting taken out as soon as they go up every time. It'd be nice to be able to switch to something else mid-round. Not a huge complaint, but that was nice in MW3.

And level prestiging is way less of an inconvenience than weapon prestiging. Frankly, the only reason I see to prestige my weapon is when I want to help me level prestige faster by re-unlocking all the attachments.

:goodposting:Nailed it.
Gravy. The only gun I've been using is the MTAR. So I can permanently keep ghost and work my way back to my preferred attachments. (Which is pretty simple) I will miss my bouncing betties, though.

Even better, you KEEP all your weapon attachments if you level prestige. You only lose your attachments when you weapon prestige.

Thanks for that. Seems I was right about the guardians and sentry guns as those are the only things I have tried to hack. Never even thought about trying it on UAVs, etc. Maybe this is a good equipment usage after all...will play around with it when I can today. Hope to leave work early and quick the boys off the game...or if I get to leave early enough I might take them to play golf or throw a football outside or something.

I could be wrong, but I think black hat PDA may destroy equipment and equipping Engineer lets you take it over.
No, I was running Engineer also (which helps you locate so that is good) but just kept destroying the guardians and sentry guns. According to the link that Polards provided you can't take those things over, but can do claymores, bouncing bettys, etc. Also can use it to fry choppers and UAVs...Hmmmmmm, I wonder if you could do that from inside since you can hack things through walls.

I'm really going to have to give that thing a try.

Can't recommend black hat, engineer class highly enough against camping snipers. I can't say how many times I've hacked their bouncing Betty protecting the door and came in and shot them in the back. Priceless.

Why the grip? The accuracy seems pretty decent to me when ADS'ing... and it's fairly rare that I stop to try and pick someone off long distance. Most of my encounters with that gun are pretty close quarters.

I actually just unlocked FMJ and Long Barrel last night so I have been experimenting, sometimes with a grip and sometimes with a scope. I think I like using those two with a scope best. I just shoot better with a scope, what with me being old and blind and all.

I just do a lot better with it on so I'm rolling with it and I rarely pick people off long distances also.

I'll be on for at least 6 or 7 hours later today and tonight. Closing up shop early for the holidays and not going to the girlfriend's house cause her mom and sister are there. :)

I am trying to find the optimal attachments for a SMG. In reading about the different attachments, I saw something that said that range determines maximum and minimum damage. Does anyone know if that's correct? As of right now, I think that Long Barrel, Foregrip and as scope is my best set up. Long barrel adds range, and if what I read is correct, it should add more damage. The Foregrip and scope should improve accuracy.

Anyone else have any other loadouts they use? Why do you choose the loadouts you do?

Sorry if these sound like noob questions, this just happens to be my first COD game...

Long barrell probably just reduces the decrease in damage loss over distance. So it wouldn't technically add damage.

I tried blackhat. I don't see how it actually hacks killstreaks either. Just destroy, as you say. Hacking camper betty's is a whole bunch of fun though.

Being able to hack and destroy through walls is awesome. I don't think previous hacker type stuff has worked like that.

I'm sold, but it does hurt giving up my launcher for it though. I don't like wasting my black hat on UAVs, so I don't get the extra 400-500 Scorestreak points/game that I was getting with the launcher (which is faster too).

Might look into ditching extreme conditioning and going launcher plus black hat. Can't get myself to do that yet though.

i dont think rapid fire is that good.

I just prestiged, but heard that the FAL with select fire is good. want to try it out

gg's last night guys. Nice to see Manback back in the fold. I hope the newbies had fun.

FYI - posted an updated SS FBG rankings on :g:
