Titans coach Jeff Fisher indicated Monday that Kerry Collins (calf) has an outside shot to start in Week 13.

"We’ll have a better idea late in the week; if he can start I will let you know," said Fisher. The Titans will make an announcement by Friday. Collins will get the nod if he shows improvement in practice. If not, rookie Rusty Smith would make a second straight start. The Titans play the Jaguars on Sunday.

Chris Johnson probably couldn't do any worse than he did. The assumption that Tennessee would feed him the ball 20+ times was obviously incorrect. Do you bench him if Rusty is the starter again?

I might bench him. But I have some very good options (ADP, McFadden, Tolbert, Ivory, start 3). I can't imagine the Titans will give him the ball fewer than 15 times...but then again I couldn't imagine them doing that this past weekend and here we are.

Pretty bad when I am combing the newswire HOPING Chris Simms is getting some first team reps (and I saw PUH-LENTY of Chrissy Simms here in Austin...

As a Bironas owner, I'm just hoping they get inside the 40 and kick if Rusty Trom starts again.

ESPN's Adam Schefter believes Titans QB Kerry Collins (calf) is in position to start in Week 13.

Add Schefter to the growing list of people who think Collins will be ready for the team's matchup against the Jaguars. The Titans are expected to make an announcement by Friday, and all indications are that Jeff Fisher will be calling Collins' number.
