Marques Colston missed Saints practice Wednesday with a sore left foot, but is expected to return on Thursday.

It's unknown when Colston picked up the injury, but he was active for New Orleans' preseason dress rehearsal. Interim coach Aaron Kromer expects Colston to be "fine" for Sunday's game against the Redskins, so it's not a major concern. His status will be updated Thursday.

He is currently listed as questionable. From ROTO:

Coach Aaron Kromer said that while Colston's foot was sore Wednesday, the wideout should be fine to practice Thursday, Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune reports.

Spin:

The report adds that Colston is expected to play Sunday against the Redskins, but a return to the practice field on his part will ease our concerns on that front.

The chance that of any player listed as QUESTIONABLE is between 5% and 95% so this is NOT good news for any Colston owner since he wasn't listed QUESTIONABLE until today.

"sore left foot" and "expected to return Thursday" sounds like he's being held out due to precaution. Vs. Redskins secondary, you have to start him if you got him.

Yup. Would not be worried at all if I was a Colston owner. I'm the one that's worried as I'm going against him this week.I'm a Skins fan and Brees is going to torch that secondary. They were bad to begin with and just lost their best two safeties. If Brees has any time at all, which, I'm sure he will he is gonna shred the Skins secondary like swiss cheese.

Colston is a top 10 WR play this week IMO.

I hope you are right. got Colston and Graham going. really thin at wr if Colston cannot go though...

Colston does this a lot. He will get dinged up, miss a practice and you panic and pull him out of the lineup and then he goes in and does great.

You need to look just before game time to see what the report says.

in all likelihood he will play and be effective. All I can say is it's just one of those things....

check the latest report the morning of game day.
