The patchwork OL of Jax has had a couple weeks now together. Indy has been horrible against the run already this year, this can't help matters. Division rivals, a must win for Jax.

Sanders out 4-6 weeksPOLIAN: TIME frame is 'the reasonable assumption' By Mike ChappellPosted: September 17, 2008E-mail Print Share Del.icio.us Digg Reddit Yahoo Google.A high ankle sprain could keep safety Bob Sanders out of the Indianapolis Colts lineup for as long as the next six weeks. That was the outlook provided by team president Bill Polian on Tuesday night in an interview with WISH-8 as part of his weekend TV show."He'll be back, that's for sure,'' Polian said. "At this point we're not sure of the severity, but I would say four-to-six (weeks) is probably the reasonable assumption.''Sanders, the NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year, injured his right ankle during the second half of Sunday's 18-15 victory at Minnesota.Polian indicated Sanders also might undergo arthroscopic "cleanup'' surgery on one of his knees while he is recovering from the ankle injury. That would enable Sanders to avoid offseason surgery, "which is always a good thing,'' Polian said.
MJD owner

the colts run d is once again very bad, so MJD should have a big day...
maybe notJags forgot to run him at all in the 1st half against the Bills
Bills D>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Colts' DThe Jags HAVE to get back to who they are and that's being a running team. Garrard simply isn't good enough for them to try and win the game through the air. They obviously have offensive line issues but the Colts' run defense was putrid before Sanders got hurt. I'd be very surprised if both Jones-Drew and Taylor didn't have good games this week.

The Jaguars’ inability to convert third downs in the first two games has left Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew with meager 23 and 12 rushing attempts respectively, and Jones-Drew has complained about not getting the ball. Based on Del Rio’s comments on Wednesday, Jones-Drew can expect his workload to increase this Sunday.

“We have to get him the ball more. I agree with him. He’s an exciting, dynamic football player. We need to find a way to get him touches,” Del Rio said.

As a Colts fan, I expect to see the Colts play 8 in the box quite often this week. While the Run D has been bad, I don't think we'll see what the OP was hoping for.

I'll project 110/1 & 3/25 for MJD and 60/0 for Fred T.

I own both Jags RBs.

Maybe you should change the title to F Taylor .... have a feeling Mo Jo's ankle is worst that Del Rio make it out to be.

Jaguars: Del Rio not concerned with MoJo's ankle

09/17/08 11:20 PM

THE NEWS

According to jaguars.com, coach Jack Del Rio is not concerned with Maurice Jones-Drew's ankle injury that he suffered last week. MoJo sat out Wednesday's practice, but he seems likely to get some carries against the Colts on Sunday.

Our View

If you have another option, it may be a good week to use it. MoJo has just 19 touches this year and it remains to be seen how health he will be.

Pretty reasonable projections; I'd give Fred a few more yards, otherwise dead on.Another way of looking at this game is as an opportunity to improve their passing game by taking advantage of the run advantage. Reggie Williams is a maddening player to watch as you see catches which evidence his playmaking ability, then you see him running around the field like he has ADD. Matt Jones exhibits the same lack of attention, only to a much greater degree. I said it last year and I'll say it again, it's a horrible statement when you have to admit that Dennis Northcutt is your best receiver. Expections on Porter's impact are questionable, imo.

The OP didn't state any projections but he'd sure as hell take that from MJD this week.

Why would you think that? Del Rio's doesn't typically play games with injuries or the injury report. I believe him. It's awfully early in the week to be looking for "another option".....why?.....just because he didn't practice Wednesday? The game is still 4 days away.

Any new news on MJD's ankle. I'll be out of town starting tonight so I need to set my lineup now. Right now, I have Ronnie Brown or LJ in his place

Nothing beyond what you see here. Sprained ankle, sat out of Wednesday's practice, Del Rio is bullish on him not only to play, but also to see the ball more. There could be a setback but it looks like he'll play.By the way, great avatar. Good stuff.
