Commish after 15 years, and I might be quitting my league (2 Viewers)

A couple of morons owners can really ruin it and get everyone else in an uproar. I had never kicked someone out before but I booted one guy this year. It's been quiet since.

If you're really done approach one of the good owners and ask if they want to take over.

I gave three of the guys the ultimatum today after speaking with the rest of the league members. Smarten up or quit. I'm not leaving, and most of the league asked me not to leave. So lets see how this turns out.  Thanks for listening

Update, I took your advice guys and stayed in the league to finish the season. Gave up the Commish position, but I miss it.  To to keep my mind in it, I'm building a new 20 team league site.  I figure I'll build it and see what happens. But I don't think I'll stay in my own league after this year, instead I'll see if I can get some members to move over. Thanks for all the advice, it was good to hear how many others have had the same frustrations I've had.

So this was about fees?  In my league, if you're fee isn't paid before draft day you auto draft.  If your fee isn't paid by week 1, you forfeit and so on.  Never had a problem except a guy whining about how he had to drive two hours through traffic to get to the bank the day before the draft.  Let him know that's on him for procrastinating.  I give my paypal, bank account number, and mailing address months in advance.

I also don't understand what commissioners have to do these days that take lots of time and energy......espn runs everything for me.

Love the avatar! I miss that era of the NHL.

The posts implying the commish is often their own worst enemy may seem callous but I can confirm that most of them applied to me.

The first seven years I did "care too much" and did far too much. Often times I was feeling unappreciated for doing things no one asked me to do in the first place (and that frankly, didn't need to be done). Then I figured it out and have been enjoying the role for the last seven years (14 total). Simplify. Pull back. Channel the passion and energy into getting the right people and/or removing the wrong ones. The most ingenious, pedantic and elaborate rulebook in the world will not solve the problem of having the wrong people nor will appointing yourself head babysitter and tail twister.

Another great avatar, by the way! I played the hell out of that game.
