I have a windows 8 machine that can see a windows 10 machine (new computer) on my home network.

When the windows 8 machine tries to connect to the windows 10 machine, it asks for "credentials" to log in.

Where do I find/set these credentials on the Windows 10 machine to allow the Windows 8 machine to connect?

The credentials you use to sign into the Windows 10 machine. If you don't have any, (home version?) Go into the control panel -> users and create one. A password is required.
