Question for the FBG staff - lately it's not been easy to find a link on the FBG home page to the Forums, at least from my Windows PC. I look and there isn't an option in the top menu items and I have to Google "football guys forums" to find it. Any one else noticing this? Any idea why this is the case?

If you click on More, it's listed on the right hand side.
Thanks... it's in such a non-descript location that I didn't even see it.

There used to be an easy to find main menu item link to the forums - why not anymore?

We changed that last year in an attempt to streamline the menu. Too many things on the menu is a constant and valid complaint.

We will take a look at this again in the future.

Same here, I just ended up creating a separate bookmark for the forums

Respectfully, it seems like easy access to the forums should be a menu item that should be prioritized, IMO.

I guess for each user it would depend on what they want or access most right? For me I have never clicked on the PODCASTS, but in the FORUMS almost daily. I am sure you can not cater to everyone and have to organize based on usage, so maybe I am in the minority?

There also seems to be several links listed multiple places. For instance "Depth Charts" can be found under TOOLS and MORE. It is also listed twice under TOOLS (under Fantasy In-Season and Fantasy Draft). Multiple links to Stats as well.

I have a shortcut for both the main page and the forums now, since finding the forums became difficult recently, as noted above.

Just something to think about if you have the ability to analyze usage/clicks/etc and really want to streamline.

No worries at all. We have a huge range of menu items people think should be prioritized.

Yes. For tools and pages that are crucial to a user (like depth charts) we'll often have multiple ways to get there.

I get it, just seems odd when you say "Too many things on the menu is a constant and valid complaint."

Yes. it's a constant challenge to not be too cluttered and also to make sure people get to the things they want.

With so much content on our site, it's one of the more difficult things we do.

We have never ever had a situation where everyone is happy. I doubt we ever will.

Oh for sure. Not trying to be confrontational, just observations. Appreciate all the work this takes.

I wish there was a way to "save" my favorite website(s) that I frequent a lot.
Now imagine you were a new user looking to join the forums…

Yes. We have all sorts of problems there. We don't make them easy to find. And then the cliques here are often far from welcome to new people that don't know all the inside things or post in a forum that's not the right place.

They're still growing - 13 new accounts today. But I can do a lot better there in helping these grow.

We’ve gotten a lot better, I think. The cliques are no longer as prominent. It’s more knowing people now, which is inevitable. But there are fewer cliquey things than when I joined back in 2011. By far, I think. Maybe I’m mistaken and that’s the inevitable process, but I honestly don’t think so.

eta* I always feel like I should note that my disagreement is really minor and just an observation rather than a “come at me, bro” tone. I only think we’ve gotten better. And that in no way contradicts or negates anything you’re saying. I’m really just adding to the discussion.

Forums are awesome and still come here after a decade, so . . . I mean. They’re quality content with quality people making that content.

And they give us something to do in the off season, which I think is necessary to maintain membership.

I generally do the reverse. I was late this year subscribing and missed all the pyrotechnics in the Shark Pool unfortunately, but I’m still here regardless.

Tell me you own and run a business without telling me you own and run a business...
