Could Terrelle Pryor be the next Joe Webb? (1 Viewer)

I actually almost posted this before Sunday's game, in the vein of "This will never happen, but ..."

But now that the Browns appear to be going through QBs like Spinal Tap goes through drummers, it doesn't seem so far-fetched. At some point this season, especially if Pryor's WR role gets diminished by Coleman and Gordon, could we see him step in at QB? And if so, could fantasy owners take advantage of another "Joe Webb loophole", starting Pryor at WR even as he's putting up QB numbers? Or is he well and truly done at trying to be an NFL QB?

Just bumping this up to take my victory lap  :hifive:

All kidding aside, I was at the game, and I wouldn't get all that excited, either about Pryor in general or his QB prospects. For one thing, I"m sure we've just seen his best game of the season (career?) Dolphins D looked terrible.

As for the QB part, he didn't get all that many snaps, and other than the TD run, his numbers were nothing special. Also, the fact that Kessler wasn't a disaster meant they didn't need to rely on him as much (though again, see above re: Dolphins D).

Does the QB stuff bump up his value slightly? Sure. But IMO not so much that you can count on getting "QB numbers" from him going forward. And with McCown, Gordon and Coleman eventually coming back, his value diminishes even further.
