Tailback Chris Perry, on the physically unable to perform list since the start of the season, is wearing shoulder pads and a helmet this morning at practice. He appears to be practicing. Today is the second day he is eligible to practice, under NFL rules governing the PUP list

Crap, between Kenny Watson and Chris Perry, Rudi Johnson will never see the field again....

I know you were being sarcastic, but while it's probable that neither of them will displace Rudi, I can see Perry moving ahead of Watson if Rudi sits out 1-2 more games and Perry is given a chance in there with Watson. That is, if his arms and legs don't fall off during the game.

Assuming Perry doesn't suffer a setback, a big assumption, he has been on the PUP all season and didn't get in much, if any, work during training camp. By the time he is in game shape Rudi should be completely rehabbed.

Perry has not been the model of health in his short NFL career, but has looked decent when he played. Keep laughing if you will, but he has a legitimate chance to put up some numbers. Maybe not this season, but at some point he could.

Other players have been hurt a lot and been productive, so it won't be the first time.
