Culpepper and NE (1 Viewer)

Pats are looking for a game manager that doesn't turn the ball over. How would Culpepper fit with that?

Culpepper doesn't want to play anymore......right?

I doubt he is anywhere close to playing shape. Besides that, Cassell looked ok.

Culpeper should be begging NE to take him for vet min. This would be a great opportunity for him, and NE wouldn't have to guarantee his contact.

First thing I thought of watching the game. Wonder if Moss wold throw a good word in, and if BB and Pioli would take the shot. I have to imagine they would. If Culpepper negotiates an incentive laden contract based on team goals he would be in great shape.

Actually, that fits him precisely.
You're missing some kind of  smiley, or something.Culpepper is a turnover machine. In fact, he doesn't like to leave it up to the defensive backs to catch it. To ensure maximum turnovers, he will drop the ball on his own, with no one around. He may be doing it on purpose, or it may have something to do with the fact that he has hands as big as those belinging to a Chinese 10 year-old.

What do you foresee, do they ride it out w/Cassel or are they looking to bring in a starter as we speak?
See the other thread on backup QBs.
What difference does it make? The Patriots season is over if they have to bring in any of those qb's.
There have been several other SB champion teams that won with backup QBs. I'm not saying that the Pats chances are anywhere near as good without Brady or that they should still be a contending team, only that it's happened in the past.

Tom Brady is hurt, not dead. Worst case scenario, he will be back next year.
True, but I don't see them running with O'Connell as the #2 from jump street though. If Cassel tanks they'd probably want someone who's played a game or two vs. real NFL competition caddying for Matt.Hey, the Needy Hobo has connections to Vinny, doesn't he? Stranger things, etc etc.

Perhaps you should spend more time reading the original post? Just a suggestion.

Ah, now I see. You're very clever.

I might not know football as well as some of you men....but I would figure that BB would rather have a QB who knows his system intricately than one who doesn't. It's not even like Culpepper is a QB in his prime who just managed to not get picked up by any other team in the league. There is a reason he isn't playing.
