Are you talking about interceptions?Cutler hands down. He can make the throws Orton only dreams of. Orton is a system QB, Cutler has the ability to be great anywhere.
link to recent poll??again?
Could be worse.. we could be stuck with Garrard.Orton 31-21, Cutler 27-30 with the same two teams. Easy choice. I'm guessing the folks taking Cutler because of his tools also thought Jeff George was a great QB.

Orton won more games in Chicago than Cutler has. Orton actually has won more games in fewer starts than Cutler has, and Cutler was in a much better situation for MOST of his career. It's not about what throw you can make, it's about the throws you actually do make. Orton makes better decisions, by far.Cutler hands down. He can make the throws Orton only dreams of. Orton is a system QB, Cutler has the ability to be great anywhere.
Jamarcus Russel can make all the throws...just sayin.Cutler hands down. He can make the throws Orton only dreams of.
blatantly incorrect.Orton 31-21, Cutler 27-30 with the same two teams. Easy choice.

this is proly the best answer. i have a hard time believing cutler would be better in the current denver offense. however, i think for most nfl teams cutler would be better, including the current chicago team.I'm going go sit on the fence and say it depends entirely on wha kind of offense you want to run.
Who has put up more points per game in Chicago? Cutler doesn't play defense. Here's a hint.. in Orton's 1st season with Chicago he averaged 16.25 pts/game, in Cutler's 1st season with Chicago he averaged 20.4 pts/gameOrton won more games in Chicago than Cutler has. 0 for 2 at this point, right?Orton is a system QB, Cutler has the ability to be great anywhere.
I tend to agree with this. But then again, I may just be being hopeful at this point. What I do know is that Orton was always good in Chicago, but he was never close to great. He could not be relied upon to make big plays, but he could be relied upon to never make big plays for the other team (Cutler seems to be able to do each very well). I will take Cutler for the potential that I think is much higher than Orton's, but in terms of a guy that will come in and get the job done every week (albeit in unspectacular fashion historically...this year may be different) Orton is as good as anyone and always was.this is proly the best answer. i have a hard time believing cutler would be better in the current denver offense. however, i think for most nfl teams cutler would be better, including the current chicago team.I'm going go sit on the fence and say it depends entirely on wha kind of offense you want to run.
Do you really think a pretty raw rookie is a good comparison to a 4 year vet? Come on, when you start with propositions like that, it's not even worth continuing to discuss things with you.Who has put up more points per game in Chicago? Me too.I got mocked mercilessly for championing Orton last year.
2 for 2 in my book. Everyone knew Denver's D was a sieve when Cutler was there. Should I pull up threads talking about starting multiple running backs from the same team vs Denver in 2008?0 for 2 at this point, right?Orton is a system QB, Cutler has the ability to be great anywhere.
He may lead the NFL in interceptions.Jay Cutler will never lead a team to a super bowl win. Kyle Orton probably won't either.
Rex Grossman almost did.. anything is possible.Jay Cutler will never lead a team to a super bowl win. Kyle Orton probably won't either.
Last year Orton still ended up with more yards, better TD/INT %, better comp %, better pass rating. Cutler threw 6 more TDs, but they were negated in leagues where INTs count against by throwing 14 more INTs.Not sure where you're going with this... pretty sure last year all season long the Orton owners were pretty happy with Orton, and neutral bystanders saw them as even at worst. This year Orton looks even better than last.we gonna do this every year?Last year at this point everyone was loving Orton because the Broncos were winning..then they stopped winning
And Cutler looks so bad? Orton is a better decision maker? Who has the higher QB rating?Last year Orton still ended up with more yards, better TD/INT %, better comp %, better pass rating. Yes. Yes. CutlerAnd Cutler looks so bad? Orton is a better decision maker? Who has the higher QB rating?
Then I guess I'll take "looks bad" with a 102.2 qb rating.Yes. Yes. CutlerAnd Cutler looks so bad? Orton is a better decision maker? Who has the higher QB rating?
I like to run the kind where my qb doesn't throw a lot of ints.I'm going go sit on the fence and say it depends entirely on wha kind of offense you want to run.
you were right, the rest of us were wrong. way wrongI got mocked mercilessly for championing Orton last year.
well they both have 3 sooooooI like to run the kind where my qb doesn't throw a lot of ints.I'm going go sit on the fence and say it depends entirely on wha kind of offense you want to run.

Then you'd have a pretty tough time deciding between Orton and Cutler this year.. and you'd take either of them before you'd take Rodgers, Rivers, or Schaub.I like to run the kind where my qb doesn't throw a lot of ints.I'm going go sit on the fence and say it depends entirely on wha kind of offense you want to run.
Since Cutler is 11th among active QBs in QB rating and Orton is 21st, I'll take Cutler, thanks. Are you talking about interceptions?Cutler hands down. He can make the throws Orton only dreams of. Orton is a system QB, Cutler has the ability to be great anywhere.
73 more attempts might play into this ? just a little? seriously?More yards - OrtonBetter comp % - Ortonno facts pleaseAnd Cutler looks so bad? Orton is a better decision maker? TDs - tied
INTs - tied
Higher Passer rating - Cutler
Fewer Fumbles - Orton
Just stating facts.

I quoted the stats initially, you're the one who wants to discard some based on number of attempts. Goodness, if Culter had 73 more attempts I wonder how many more INTs he'd throw. You can't have it both ways ...are you serious? keep picking out the stats, that's fine.73 more attempts leads to a better completion percentage? 73 more attempts leads to 4 fewer fumbles?73 more attempts might play into this ? just a little? seriously?More yards - OrtonBetter comp % - OrtonTDs - tiedINTs - tiedHigher Passer rating - CutlerFewer Fumbles - OrtonJust stating facts.no facts please

Your ideal QB is Mark Sanchez!
