Just saw Lebron’s response, very disappointing to see him and other people go after him for his personal feelings which should be respected just like those attacking him want theirs to be. 

Much as I love LeBron, and much as I agree with his take on the overall issue vs Brees, I can’t help but be reminded that only a few months ago he refused to criticize Chinese domination of Hong Kong and actually made some unfortunate comments in the opposite direction. Believe it or not, I have more faith in the betting than the polls. People will say anything when their own money is not on the line. Still pretty close to a toss up with Biden the slightest of favorites.

When Joe made the PSF and basically quarantined the 25-30 regulars there into one area it was a very smart business decision.  The FFA was getting ruined and chasing away people who just want to read and enjoy a little without the day in and day out bickering. The PSF is  toxic but it is the same people who know what they will be exposed to everyday.

I totally agree with you on this, it was great to created it and remove the mess from the FFA. I love being able to find the Stock thread to Covid info without having to sift through Russia talking down Trump. My disagreement is with how it’s been handled since created. I am definitely with you that politics needs to be out of FFA.

I mean honestly the issue isn’t unique to FBG.

There just isn’t room for discourse anymore. It’s tribal. It’s all-or-nothing. And that’s the case anytime politics come up in 2020.

I feel like there were some quality conversations had in the FFA  in the 2007-2012 days. Made me rethink some positions and appreciated some of the different takes. That’s a thing of the past.

@Joe Bryant do people PM you about getting their feelings hurt on the forums?   The stuff that is allowed on this site is "G rated" at best to what is being written on Twitter, Facebook or other social sites.  I think that policing the forums to keep it PG lite has worked really well.  The problem I see in the political forum is the same people arguing back and forth about each issue.  Feelings are at an all time high with a very stressed America right now.   But people are getting banned and timeouts for silly stuff.   I can see banning or even suspending people after a warning or two but it is your site.

Joe makes a thread to remind people to be extra cool during bad times and it takes less than 2 days and people already start airing grievances, and blaming the other side or sticking up for their side. Sad to say, but it might be time to pull the plug on PSF.

What if it’s true?  Perhaps this was a great experiment.  Get a bunch of guys together of approximately equal proportion liberal and conservative, let them argue it out for 20 years, and see what happens.  The cream could rise to the top? Survival of the fittest ideas?

Wow!!! I know many of you can’t stand him, however, Trump knocked it out of the park with this speech. I drove from Wahkaikum to Seattle and back today and have seen countless fellow Washingtonians on the road. I did not see any violence — but a Tesla supercharging station at an Auburn mall was closed off by police. Driving, I passed by regular folks who are already stressed by the Covid situation. Now, social media and television are looping images of societal breakdown. I agree, the president should not be sending troops into state — he legally might not be able to anyway — nevertheless, the tone in this speech is strong and direct. I have been watching the images in the media and thinking about how polarized our country is. I mean, even wearing medical masks in public can be seen as a political statement! The violence, (and not the protests) appear as a leftist insurrection. Imagine if so-called “patriot militias” were raising this kind of hell? If this were the case, left wing people would welcome federal intervention. Most Americans want peace in their communities and President Trump spoke to this desire. Never mind the legal details that few understand — Trump said he would stop the violence and this speaks to many.

Hey Joe, you're honestly in a tough position, because your political views are more aligned with the majority on this forum, then the minority, but you still try to be fair to both sides. That is very honorable of you.

The other day I got suspended for a few days for calling a politician a moron, which seems confusing to me, because Donald Trump has been called every name under the sun on here and I think majority of them haven't been suspended? 

Also, I reported a post I thought was meant to ridicule me, and imply I am racist, i thought it was harassment, and maybe im being too sensitive, but a FBG admin responded to my report with "stop whining" and gave me a warning point. 

A polite explanation as to why that wasn't a valid report in their opinion, without the insult or warning point would have been 100 percent more cool.

Once again, let me end with I think you're very honorable Joe, and thank you.
