Pats win this game. Miami in Miami and the Indy game are the only possible losses.

I bolded the wrong part. I was actually laughing at you thinking the Pats could lose to the Phins. You must not be very confident in your team......
Miami does give the Pats trouble for some reason
As has been demonstrated in this thread multiple times, that is impossible. New England is statistically superior to Miami.

Yeah, "I'm not very confident." You should follow the AFC East a little closer and watch the dynamics of a NE-MIA game in Miami, in October. It's always one of NE's hardest games. Brady always struggles against Miami. I think it's acceptable to project a loss within your own division considering it makes up six games of your season.
As I said before, you don't sound very confident here.......

You are a turd.

If there is anything worse than a Cowboy it would be a Patriot fan. But heck I'll throw some on the fire:

All this talk about Roy Williams and stopping Moss -- what makes you think the Pats have any answers to Owens? Afterall, Bellicheat won't have his cameras, and if memory serves correctly, wouldn't this be the first time Romo played against a Bellichek team? Doesn't Bellicheck's "mastery" over a QB come in the second meeting?

"All other fans please kindly disregard the oridinal poster as he does NOT represent the views of most knowledgable Cowboy fans."

First time I've ever heard "knowledgeable" AND "Cowboy fan" in the same sentence. Oxymoron if ever I've heard one. Kinda like a rational and/or intelligent Packer fan.

I feel a whole lot dumber after reading that post...

Welker is known as one of the better possession receivers in the game.
Really??? Since when? As of two weeks ago? And who exactly recognizes him as "one of the better possession receivers in the game?" Wow, let's go ahead and start carving Welker's bust in Canton. As of early last off-season Welker was nothing more than a special teams player, a poor man's Tim Dwight. Easy on the Welker Kool-aid there buddy.

Whitten is good and has posted better numbers than watson thus far this season.... but don't be so quick to assume he's a huge step up from Watson. He's got more numbers because Romo needs him...
This has to be the lamest post I've seen in this forum all season. Hey guys....LT broke the touchdown record last season because the San Diego Chargers needed him. Hey everyone, Peyton Manning is so good because his team needs him. :LOFL: Your flawed logic makes you lose credibility, and you can't even spell Jason Witten's name right.Believe me, if Watson was so good and getting so open, Tom Brady would throw to him every down. Brady throws to the open man, and that isn't Watson on most occasions. Watson is good, but most aroundthe NFL would agree Witten is the 3rd or 4th best tight end only behind the likes of Gates, Gonzales, and maybe Crumpler.

I think most would take Witten right behind Gates.

Witten is so valuable because he is as good at blocking as he is at recieving. Dallas sometimes moves him in motion stopping him behind the tackle, at the snap the guard dashes to the LB and Witten cracks down on the DT. How many TE's can make that block then on the next play burn a safety or LB for a 20-40 yard reception. Certainly not Ben Watson but I will admit that Watson is a very capable reciever.

NE will have a field day with Romo and the Cowboys. Trust me...
Okay...will do; I've been looking for someone to trust, especially someone who has been around here for about a month :( The Cowboys will put up plenty of points. I've seen nothing this year to suggest that any defence can contain them. The only thing that stops them is their own penaltiesand LOL at the 16-0 predictions after three weeks, two of which were against bad football teams. There is so much urine in the Pool these days it is eroding the finishing on the snorkel I bought to get me through the regular season.

Have a nice season, guy.I guess winning the "big one" allows you to be an ignorant bigot. I'm embarrassed for you.

I thought it was common knowledge the way to take Moss out of a game is to be over-the-top aggressive and beat him up very early in the game. He gets into a funk and doesn't come out for the rest of the game. Either way, it will be a heck of a game.Dallas 27New England 21I'm such a
Anyone picking Dallas has obviously not paid any attention to the Pats complete and utter dominance over the past 3 weeks. I mean Brady was untaping himself with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Don't forget that at some point they are also getting Harrison and Seymour back. Talk about adding insults and injuries to the other teams. Mark my words, you are simply seeing history in the making. Pats will likely go 14-0 and then only have their starters play 1 quarter over the last two games because they simply don't care about an undefeated season. They only care about SuperBowl rings. Dallas fans should just be glad that the NFL saw fit to contine to try and prevent them from winning by stealing their 1st round pick this year. Firs the chuck rule, then the time out rule, then the memo on not filming the other guys singles 3 days before the season start. Are you serious...anyone with 1/2 a brain would update the rule book instead of sending a silly memo. And let's not forget giving them the hardest schedule in the league for the past 4 years. And then last but no least, now teams have complained our cheerleaders warm up to close to them and distract them. Are you serious...is this the NFL on Pop Warner?Face it, Pats will likely not only win this Superbowl, but probably the next 2 as well. How's that for a dynasty.

Welker... Really??? Since when? As of two weeks ago?
 silly, fantasy football playing, no real football watching, Big Daddy Dallas Cowboy Fan.Welker was one of the only bright spots in MIA last year. He's been making plays in the NFL for a while now.New England fans have seen this while playing against him; it's why they were so high on him while those less informed were like, "Welker"!?No, Wes Welker isn't going to Canton. But he is exactly what NE and their fans thought he would be.. a younger, slightly bleached, Troy Brown. To believe that Welker just started making plays two weeks ago is about as naive as starting threads to proclaim that your upstart team will beat the Goliath of the NFL.

:goodposting:The Cowboys? The team that gave up 20 points to the Dolphins? If the Cowboys gave up 35 to the GIANTS I'd guess they'd be tickled to hold the Pats to 60.
Come on get a clue. They were playing without Newman the first two games and still could get Ellis back. Not to mention they are playing a whole new defense scheme and they will only get better as the year goes on. Phillips knows his defense. Rome was not built in 3 games. As the year goes on Dallas will get much better.

Owned??, hardly. Pfft. I've known about Wes Welker since he played his college ball at Texas Tech, Einstein. I also knew of his ongoings in Miami. And let me tell you, for you to call him one of the better possession receivers in the NFL is LAUGHABLE at best and makes you look simply foolish.

You do realize you have a much much better chance of eating your words then you ever have to say I told you so. I tell ya NE fans really have to get over their self. I mean come on what a choke fest in the second half vs the Colts last season. The second half of that game Manning blew that defense up By the way as much as NE loves to claim they won 3 titles in 4 seasons. Dallas did it first and guess what the year they did not win they lost in the NFC championship vs SF. A game they would have won had they not spotted the niners 21 in the first quarter and Neon Deion grabbing Irving and the ref just turning his head to the fact late in the 4th. What did NE do in the year they did not win. CRICKETS

This much is certain, Dallas is and will always be America's team.

Why have they never closed the hole in the roof at Texas Stadium?

Because on Sundays God likes to look down and watch his Dallas Cowboys.

Got it. Right. Thanks. Do me a favor; please list the 5 possession receivers you consider to be light years ahead of Welker.I'll be looking over this year's reception and reception % stats while you're working on that BDK.

What, because you say so? I don't think so. Go hide behind your percentage number gibberish. Find me five people other than pats fans on this messageboard who actually think Welker is one of the better possession receivers in the game. You won't find them.

This is definitely one of the best posts ever. Possibly typed on a laptop from the bushes outside Tom Brady's house.

HUGE Cowboys fan here.

I do agree that the Boys are a really good team this year. Probably will even make it to the NFC Championship (although I believe the Eagles have just woke up)....but man, lets be honest....the Pats seem unstoppable right now. Since I give the Pats an edge on defense...I have to give them the nod.

Well, the Pats have a top-tier cover corner and safeties who actually defend the pass not just go for big hits. So those get them a lot closer to stopping Owens than the Cows are likely to come to stopping the Pats passing game.Belichick's mastery over opposing offenses applies in all contexts. Not that he's perfect (witness last year's AFC title game for example) but he's a darn good coach and especially good against younger quarterbacks who haven't yet learned all the tricks.

The problem with last years playoff team is that the linebackers started getting tired and Dallas Clark started gashing the Patriots defense. That was a big reasoning behind the signing of Adalius Thomas; BB now rotates in his young linebackers (Pierre Woods and Lua come to mind) to keep the starters (Colvin, Thomas, Vrabel, Bruschi, Seau) full of energy for the whole game.

Im throwing the schedule into play here. The matchup is week 6. Anyone look over the week FIVE schedule? New England at HOME against Cleveland at 1PM. Dallas on the ROAD against Buffalo.....on MONDAY night. The Cowboys will obviously win their week 5 matchup. Cant say I like their chances very much in week 6. Sucks for Dallas fans.

These 2 teams are playing each other's divisions this year, so the game was already on the schedule in general. And I love the matchup. But the NFL really screwed Dallas in asking them to get ready for New England on short rest after traveling east on Monday night. It'll be a blowout.

There is no such thing as an obvious win (especially on the road) and the Cowboys have not yet reached that status. They're a good team in a weak conference but not sure what that really means.

Three weeks from now when Dallas punches New England square in the jaw and sends them yankees packing back to Foxboro, I'll be here to tell you I told you so. And how 'bout them COWBOYS!!!!
As a fellow Cowboy fan.....just stop. We wonder why people hate the Cowboys. The Cowboys are a VERY good team with a great offense and an up and coming defense that still needs some work. To say we are going to punch the Pats in the mouth is laughable at best. I think we can give them a game at home and would say that we have a 35-40% to beat them. All other fans please kindly disregard the oridinal poster as he does NOT represent the views of most knowledgable Cowboy fans. That is all.
 I love the Cowboys but we are not at the level New England is at at this time. I hurts me to say that but it's true. The Pats are loaded on both sides of the ball and they have awsome depth. Heck, they even have a few def players hurt that are starters that are comming back in a few weeks. They are hadns down the cream of the crop in the NFL this year. Brady is going to post 40 td's this year!

WHAT? Lua is on IR and Pierre Woods RARELY sees the field on defense. Go look at player snap totals. He's a special teamer and a good one but he's not part of the rotation. He had 7 total snaps out of 50. Vrabel played 50 of 50 snaps in the Buffalo game. The real rotation is Bruschi and Seau who essentially split snaps. Lua tore up his knee in preseason and is on IR.

They're a good team in a weak conference but not sure what that really means.
huh? Have you seen Buffalo's team? You do realize theyre playing a rookie at QB now? And they have a number of significant starters on that team that are already out with injury. They have one of the worst Os in the NFL. They have one of the worst Ds in the NFL. Dallas just clobbered Chicago on the road, and despite the fact that the Bears are in the NFC and the Bills are in the AFC, Im going out on a limb and saying the Bears are a little better than the Bills. frankly, I dont understand how you cant figure out "what that really means". It means Dallas is going to walk into Buffalo on Monday night and hand them a first class beatdown. And Im a Patriots fan.

That playoff team also had serious injuries when they went down. In that 2nd half letdown in the AFCC game, on D alone they were missing Colvin, Harrison, Seymour, Wilson and Seau. So, 4 starters and a significant role player/run stuffer. None of those guys played in the 2nd half of that game. And as important, Maroney and Dillon were both injured and basically worthless. Im not debating the rotation of the young players into the mix because I hope theyre able to do that all season. But the Pats just didnt have the bodies to close the deal in the end last year. Im not sure they would have won the Superbowl had they made it that far. They were that banged up. Losing to the Bears in the Superbowl would have been far worse than losing to the Colts. And after I got over the initial sting of the loss, I was glad to see the Colts move on and get their ring. But that's just me. I dont think Pats players are over anything, and it looks like theyre kindof on a mission.

:moneybag: Yes I've seen Buffalo's team and I've also watched enough NFL games over the years to understand that there is no such thing as a guaranteed win. I like your logic though....Team A beat Team B and Team B is probably better than Team C.......therefore, there is 0% chance that Team A can lose to Team C. Classic.....

absolutely correct. 99% is certainly not 100. Ill actually give Buffalo a 1% shot. feel better?

Tony Romo? Pffft. They'll be calling him Tony Nomo after Thomas, Colvin and Seymour beat him into Mexico.
That was... awful. I mean historically bad. The guys who created "New Coke" just read that and wondered what the hell you were thinking...
The guys that created New Coke were geniuses, they had people arguing over which of their products to buy, and completely ignoring the competition. Didn't you learn anything from Listen to Me? (that's right, I pulled out an 80's Kirk Cameron/Jami Gertz film reference, it's all you need to know about fantasy football).
NOPE. Miami does it in week 7. If by chance, the Pats are 15-0, Miami is guaranteed will spoil the fun in week 16. Mark it down.
They would be 14-0 at that point, if undefeated. That's OK, word problems are hard.
You should follow the AFC East a little closer and watch the dynamics of a NE-MIA game in Miami, in October. It's always one of NE's hardest games. Brady always struggles against Miami. I think it's acceptable to project a loss within your own division considering it makes up six games of your season.
If my beloved Patriots are undefeated at that point, the sports media hype around that game will be a much welcome change from all the recent negative stories that have been out there. Especially after the enormous butt kicking Belichick will gleefully hand down to the lowly Jets in Spy Bowl II. He's gonna run the score up on Mangini so high Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan will be jealous.
...Pats will likely go 14-0 and then only have their starters play 1 quarter over the last two games because they simply don't care about an undefeated season. They only care about Super Bowl rings...
I disagree a little here. I believe whole-heartedly that Belichick is on a mission to destroy the league this year, prove that he is worthy of all the praise and success that he has had, and that the camera thing was not what was making him look good.If the undefeated season is in his grasp, he will go for it. The Super Bowl is always the priority, but he smells blood, and wants to erase any doubts about himself, and his team, too.

PatsFan72,

The loss I was speaking of would be in Miami, in October. I don't think Mia will come up here and beat NE at home in the cold.
