Dan Morgan '06= Ray Lewis '00 (1 Viewer)

With the signing of Kemoeatu, the loss of Witherspoon, and the return of Kris Jenkins, I am feeling PRETTY good that Dan Morgan can reach Ray Lewis level this year. He's shown flashes of dominance but then either the injury bug bites him or his key teammates (Jenkins).

However, that being said, there's just as good of chance he'll miss the season with a "severe hangnail."

Yours truly,

DAN MORGAN '06 BANDWAGON

Morgan gets a bad rap for his toughness. I think he's a pretty tough guy, that for one reason or another can't stay healthy. Make no mistake... he will play hurt.

If he can stay on the field, and I think most will agree, he is a top 10 backer. But ... we all know IF is a big word.

He is a truly talented player, in which I had on my dyansty team from 2001-2003 before trading him away for Aaron Schobel.

The memories I had of him was when he would have 4 solos in the 1st quarter, then you would look in the 3rd or 4th quarter and he would have the same amount from the 1st quarter. You would scatch your head in disbelief, knowingly deep down inside he re-injured himself......again.

In the end, he cost me more games then games won.

RAPTURE

I agree and have been burnt just the same. Any mid-game injures hurt alot, especially when you could have started some bench guy instead for more points. Then it is hit or miss for the next 4-6 weeks... with another "concussion" issue later in the season... those are the worst... by the critical playoff games your head is spinning as to start him and hope or throw in a far lesser player just so you don't end up with a donut... only to see Morgan have a game winning huge day... If there was an equivalent to the Shanahan RB myth for IDP, it would be Dan Morgan...

He does play hurt alot too, which makes things even more difficult. Since he can put together some decent days when hurt. But alot of times he gets injured instead of hurt and the coaching staff decides they have to bench him.

I'm with you guys ... I'm a Morgan owner also and he has cost me more times than I care to remember. He is the sole reason I keep bumping Ernie Sims down my draft board.
