Daniel Snyder wants reporter canned (1 Viewer)

awesome to see the actual complaint.

I think the stuff about his wife is fine or misunderstood by him. She's doing a great thing and it does help his bad PR. That makes me wonder how realistic he is about the job he's done. I mean the only prob he could have there is insinuating he's doing a bad job, right?

That columnist didn't need to bring his wife into it and I wonder if a judge (jury?) isn't going to see that as a red flare as well. Ya just don't do it.

We "beat on" coaches and players all the time here and the last thing any of us ever does is go insulting their ma or wife or kids or somesuch. I only glossed over the article the first time and missed that.

Curious how jewish folks feel about the anti-semetic claim.

I hope the judge has a unibrow and laughs about that. That's always a good simple joke.

I'd like to know more about the bit where he claims WCP rarely wrote about the team. That's a bit odd.

cover story doesn't really matter-cover or inside is kinda trivial. Papers have bad days where they are pressing for news and even a "rag" has to sometimes bump up a lesser story.

That snyder sent a letter thru his attorney asking them to write a retraction and they didn't, that is kinda interesting like they were ready to deal with something like this.

Seems the complaint is flawed as it mentions competition for advertisers and thus $ but at the part where he is asking the court for $ he is only asking for personal damages by "hurt feelings" and stuff like that. Does that mean he can't show a loss by all this?

*******

As far as the great adventure stuff. They bought a run down old old old (did I say old) park in upstate NY known frontier town that was just plain horribly run into the ground by the previous owner. When that place was sold, that owner knew they were going to take a loss and said the great adventure investors were fine with that. I didn't understand, found that interesting as we chatted some. Frontiertown was miniscule compared to GA sites I've been to so it's probably just a drop in the bucket but it makes me curious to learn more about great adventure now.

God I love watching a bully get his nose bashed in.

That piece by Gene Weingarten actually ran top center of the Op-ed page in the Washington Post yesterday. That's pretty high-profile real estate. Deadspin is linking to the original City Paper story every day until the suit is withdrawn. Now Brett Haber has had a go at him in an extended commentary on the local CBS affiliate.

Snyder has literally worn out his welcome, and as much as he was disliked for being such a ####ty owner before, he'll be hated now until the day takes the hint and gets out of town. All of DC's pretty much decided the guy isn't just incompetent, but also a giant POS.

Very good job by that sports reporter. Redskin fans will be more united in their dislike of Snyder than ever before as a result of this lawsuit.
 Snyder is an idiot. This is something Snyder should have just ignored, instead he's bringing more attention to what was written about him while proving the writer's point in trying to silence him.

in that open letter he wrote of thanking him "on behalf of all Giants fans"- that's pretty funny. Guess Cowboys and Eagles need to thank him
Nah, the NFC East is more fun when all 4 teams have a shot at things. I now look forward to Eagles and Giants games far more than Redskins games.
The Cowboys are only 6-4 in their last ten games vs. the Redskins. If you go back to the last 12 it's 6-6. Only three of the last ten games and one of the last six (a late December 2009 game with no meaning to the Skins) have been decided by more than six points. The teams split the two games last year. Why exactly do you look forward to Eagles and Giants games more than these games? You prefer it when your team plays against franchises that are clearly superior to the Cowboys?
:excited:Delusinal cowboys fans trying to trick themselves into thinking they have a better owner than Washington, when at best for Dallas it's a wash.
Not that either is great reading but from 1999 - 2010 (Snyder's tenure):Cowboys 96 - 96, 2 Division Championships, 4 Playoff App.Redskins 86 -106, 1 Division Championship, 2 Playoff App.And Jerry had a bit of success before then. Most owners > Jerry > Snyder
Wow you clowns are really arguing over who is the 3rd and 4th best teams in the division. Congrats.
