Matchups... is there a team he wont be targetted 11 times against?'glumpy said:He really doesn't have many good looking matchups remaining unless you're gearing towards the playoffs imo. I had him up until the injury, and looking real hard at picking him up again but he would be my #4 behind Julio, Decker and James Jones in a league where I can play 2-3. Given their matchups I couldn't see fielding him more than once or twice depending on how the RB's look that I would play a WR-heavy lineup. Depends on a couple other moves I've got in mind--I could see playing keep away even if he sits on the bench. Already doing that with Hernandez, though.'bubleeshaark said:First week back and he's playing against the 49ers, give him a week or two.'matuski said:Low ranking to start the week, what am I missing?![]()
Oh he'll get his targets to be sure. The problem is weighing 6-56 against the potential for other guys like Kenny Britt who have favorable mathcup against the like of the Patriots. He's risky right now but is a perfect little PPR WR3 because you know his floor is about 10 points and his ceiling is probably 20 even against a good opponent.Matchups... is there a team he wont be targetted 11 times against?'glumpy said:He really doesn't have many good looking matchups remaining unless you're gearing towards the playoffs imo. He looks fine. Caught one already in second half. Targeted twice (overshot on a long pass on third and 1).Back in.Hope he's good to go and not just being gutsy.
I'm in the exact same boat....don't play this week, and looking for alternatives. One good thing is that the Rams play a 1:00 game against Minn wk 15, so we should know something that morning instead of playing the late game guessing game.Whether you drop him or not...I guess depends on your situation. I'm holding because I don't play again till week 15. So if he doesn't play this week that's fine with me, if it means he comes back healthy the following week. I'm not really sure we've been given any word of exactly what's wrong and how serious it is though, so I'm making other plans for my flex spot just in case..
I'd make the move. Givens will get points regardless of Amendola's health. You snooze you lose.Givens is just sitting on my WW and I have Amendola on my bench. I wish we knew WTH was up.
Non ppr and I'll be rolling him out over Emmanuel Sanders if healthy. Health is a major concern, but it's the only concern. IF (yes that's a huge question mark) he plays a whole game, 80ish yards with a handful of catches seems to be his floor. That's tolerable for a lower level wr. In ppr leagues his value only goes up. Bottom line, if he plays I'd play him. And cross my fingers. So can we trust this guy today if he's active? Been a PPR monster whenever he's played a whole game, but that's been the exception. Not in love with my other options and already down big due to Knowshon so thinking about rolling the dice on Amendola if he's active, what are other people planning on doing with him this week (assuming he's active)?
