Danny Woodhead (1 Viewer)

Woodhead seemed like he got a lot of snaps in the Red Zone and a few touches.

He was stopped short of the end zone on a couple plays. All in all, he's a flex play in deep leagues or a bye week replacement. He's going to get quite a few touches and be put in positions to score.

Guy is good. Hes without question the Pats best RB right now. He was the featured RB for the entire second half as the Pats were behind. Hes got good vision and is surprisingly strong. BJGE was a cloud of dust all day and Woodhead managed to find the crease on nearly every play.

Fred Taylor being active also has a bearing on all of the NE running backs. I'm not sure what's going to happen here.
Yeah, that has me a little worried to start Woodhead now. Anyone have an idea of how much Taylor will cut into Woody's numbers?

I'm sure he'll be at least somewhat affected, but I think Law Firm will lose more carries to Taylor than Woodhead will.

FWIW, Woodhead just signed an extension that will keep him in New England through 2012. He'll be getting $550K next year, and $700K in 2012. Seems like a pretty nice signing for the Pats. :wall:

I hate the Patriots, but damn other teams can take lessons from them on how to get value on the dollar. Great signing. So cheap.

Woodhead is not really a guy that I am ever overly confident about starting, but his production makes him someone that I like having on my bench, simply because he is usually good for 8-10 points a week if you're in need.

 Especially this time of year with Thursday night and Saturday games. Your backups have already played and come Sunday and your starting rb comes down with flu or late week injury and can't go so plug in Woodhead.
