According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Falcons and Patriots have both contacted free agent RB Danny Woodhead.

Woodhead, of course, spent three years with the Patriots early in his career. Meanwhile the Falcons are looking for depth behind Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman after non-tendering third-string back Terron Ward. The 33-year-old Woodhead has been a productive pass-catcher throughout his career but injuries have limited him to just 10 games over his last two seasons.

Yeah, hats off to a great career. He was really scrappy  gritty  hard-working  cerebral  blue collar  able to overcome his physical limitations  played the game the right way  white 

All kidding aside, it is pretty amazing that a guy of his size and low-profile background put together the career he did at one of the league's most devalued positions. Sproles is the closest comp I can think of, though he at least came out of a big-time D1 school. Also worth reposting his impressive "Letter to My Younger Self" from a couple years ago
