Before you eat me, hear me out.

He's posted solid tackle numbers through 2 weeks. He SUCKS, so as long as he's starting, he's going to get thrown at. That means tackles, passes defended, and on a good week, a chance to pick off a pass.

Anyone have the word on this kid?

PFW indicates he's still in line to start.

He's given himself a reputation of sucking. QB's are going to throw at him. He'll have plenty of chances to rack up points, especially this week against the Bills.

I think that Darius Butler is a good player. He has had some poor performances. We will see how he handles it mentally and if he continues to develop. He's still a young player with some talent, he'll make plays.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots could be making a change at right cornerback for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Second-year player Darius Butler has started at that spot in the first two weeks of the season, but he didn't take all the repetitions with the first unit this week.

Second-year cornerback Kyle Arrington had replaced Butler for the final series against the Jets, and he would be a top candidate to replace Butler if the Patriots make the switch for Sunday's game.
