Darius Walker is a nice sleeper this week (1 Viewer)

Here is a last minute deep sleeper for the playoffs this week.

Walker is in a decent offense that even Ron Dayne was able to put up good numbers in. IF he gets the majority of carries he could end up with 100 yards and a td.

Between this thread, my thread on Sage, and KHs thread on Daniels you'd think the Texans-Broncos game would be a shootout.

I am not that big on Walker. He has struggled to get on the active roster all year and then last week he finally got an opportunity and he didn't do that well. Also, it sounds like he and Achemandu will split carries. So you have two guys, neither of whom is that good, splitting carries. If you really have no one else who is a starting RB he is worth a chance, but I am not planning on picking him up.

Could be a situation where they go with the hot hand...so while he might start, if Joe E. looks better he might get the bulk of the touches. Pretty risky play even though the Brocnos are possibly the best matchup for their ground game all year.

He seemed to get the majoirty of carries last week.

My bad, I thought Joe E. was inactive last week but obviously he did have a few carries. Here's a note from Yahoo (yesterday) regarding Joe E. and his possibly role this week:

Dec 10 Despite seeing only two carries in Sunday's victory over the Buccanneers, Echemandu could end up splitting carries with Darius Walker in Thursday's game against Denver, the Texans' official web site reports.

Recommendation: Ahman Green (knee) is already out and Ron Dayne is severly hobbled by an ankle injury, so Echemandu could see an increased workload on Thursday. Darius Walker had 16 carries on Sunday and figures to see the bulk of the work, but the bigger Echemandu could see some goal-line carries. Echemandu is a very risky option this week, so hopefully fantasy owners are looking elsewhere as they head into their playoffs.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Any Texans homers know anything about Walker? Could he be trusted in a big game?
The story I read on Walker was that Kubiak brought him into his office and told him if he didn't get serious about it, he would be out of the NFL within 4 years and supposedly Walker responded to that. That is why he is on the team now instead of the practice squad. He's been really working hard. Of course, 1 fumble and you hit the pine with Kubiak. Keep that in mind. That being said, his head is humongous http://www.collegefootballblog.org/photos/...lker-wooden.jpg Kinda like those aliens in star trek. http://members.aol.com/nflpntrs/cage-talosian.jpg :goodposting:

more like "Play your Texans" week... I don't like this Walker play; I can't plug in someone totally unproven at this time of yr. I'm passing on this one.

Dayne (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, according to the Texans' official site.

Spin: Dayne's ankle limited him to only seven carries against Tampa Bay on Sunday, but he is expected to get the start on Thursday.
