David Carr officially to SF, Shaun Hill traded to DET (1 Viewer)

So Carr signs on in SF, and then SF ships off Shaun Hill to the Lions for an undisclosed (likely low conditional) pick in 2011.

The musical chairs in the backup QB realm this offseason are either more interesting than usual, or the rest of free agency has been so uneventful that I just find myself paying more attention to this stuff.

There was nothing available via free agency at QB, so it's not surprising there are more trades this year than normally. I think Hill is a solid pickup for Detroit.

Hill is a huge upgrade to Culpepper.

No brainer trade by Detroit. I like what the Lions have been doing this off season.

Pretty good signing by the Lions. With how often Stafford was banged around last year, if they don't protect him more I'm sure we'll see Hill in the lineup at some point during the season.
