Garrard went 17/21 216 4TD's and rushed for 2yds. and a TD.

He has never attempted a lot of passes but has usually supplemented his lukewarm pass yardage with rushing yards and the occasional rushing TD. MSW had 2TD's, Thomas and Lewis each with one in Dallas.

Garrard has always had that 'potential' tag but never seemed to live up to it. I think for the last three years he has been a sleeper AND a bust pick by a lot of Fantasy Football pontificates.

He usually does well against bad pass defenses at home. He was in Dallas against the (up until today) 7th ranked pass D in the NFL.

Homers, isn't it true that people have been calling for his benching on and off for a couple years now? What's your take on this game?

games: 8

comp: 101

attempts: 149

pass yds: 1098

pass TDs: 13

ints: 7

rush attempts: 25

rush yds: 96

rush TDs: 2

Garrard isn't for realz. Dallas's defense is for fakez. It also helps when the other team throws 4 interceptions, because it gives you more possessions and better field position.

he has two nice upcoming matchups after the bye next week (cle and hou). after that, feel free to dump him or let him rot on your bench.

A bit suprised it's 60 to 2. I thought there would be a few more optimistic for Garrard.

I agree with what has been said. I seem to remember when he first got the job over Leftwich that there was a lot of promise. Am I wrong on this?

The offense really had a good year that season, especially in the 2nd half, but a lot of that was Fred Taylor's great year combined with the rookie MJD. Look, Garrard is 32 years old. He's pretty much a known quantity. He has good games where he is very efficient, but the next clunker is always just around the corner.

What expectations? There was some hope about his potential going into the 2008 season, coming off of his superefficient 2007 season when he was a borderline QB1, but since then he's been abandoned for sexier upside options and has generally been available for cheap as a solid QB2 (QB 13 & 14 in ppg the past 2 years). This year looks like more of the same - a couple great games and a couple stinkers, but overall that same high end QB2 that he's been.

Fluke. The Cowboys Def are for real though, they are that bad. They have given up. Wade Phillips has forgotten how to call defensive plays. Banged up secondary. Newman (CB) probably out next week.

Aaron Rodgers might have a career game week 9.

Rodgers as a bye week 10, so I'm planning to start Garrard, after a bye, against Houston.
