This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. RBs bounce runs outside all the time. He saw an opportunity to take a play that was 5 yards to the 'designed hole' or bounce it outside and take it to the house. This is what good RBs do they find space when it doesn't exist. To blame that on a left tackle for holding when he had no actual reason to is ridiculous. Beatty didn't have to hold, Wilson had the defender beat before he decided to even bounce the play outside.

It was actually a pretty bad call as Beatty did let go fairly quickly, either way it never should have come close to a hold. Beatty should have released as soon as he started to pull away just like youre taught as a OT. This idea that somehow it's "Wilson's fault" for bouncing it out that Beatty got a hold is so ridiculous I can't even comprehend it.

I went against my instinct to plug in Snelling over Wilson this week and it cost me a win. I'm in a deep hole now, but have the overall talent on my team to dig out of it by the end of the season. Wilson is a hold going forward imo. Selling would be selling very low and he has too much talent and opportunity to just drop him outright. Have to hope things straighten out going forward.

I think you want him in your lineups this week, and if his owner will let him go for the likes of Dwayne Bowe I suggest you do it.

They got blasted by Carolina.

I did just acquire Wilson in a league in which I am not in the hunt: Gave Charles and got Harvin, Wilson. I'll also be trying to move L.Miller+ for him in another. His price is dropping, based on my sample of leagues.

ETA: Before the season, I'd say he was worth a good deal more than the 1.01, based on the market. Now - I think he'd fall around 1.05 or so. (Gio, Tavon, Nuk, and maybe Lacy and Bell)

I'm not sold, long-term, but I am sure as hell scooping him up where I can. I think his ceiling is 85% of Spiller, and say it's a coinflip that he ever reaches it. I'd pay a top 5/6 rookie pick for that.

Yeah, I've been buying him in most leagues. In one I moved Bradshaw/2014 First for him before the Richardson announcement which I'm feeling pretty good about right now. Even with his lack of production so far... I can still see what made me so excited about him coming into the season. That hasn't just disappeared, it's been a miserable 3 weeks for the Giants and I fully expect them to turn it around. Right now this offensive line is hemorrhaging and that's the real issue here.

Baas still isn't 100%, Diehl is still injured, Pugh is a rookie and Snee still isn't 100% either and underwent a MRI on his surgically repaired hip today (results pending). Clearly they aren't healthy and it's causing a LOT of breakdown. Last season these same guys were one of the best offensive lines in football. Eli was sacked a NFL low 19 times. They were 5th in rushing TDs with 18, 7th in YPC with 4.6 while being 23rd in rushing attempts per game. So the production is there and readily available if the line can get healthy. Being 23rd in the league and rushing for the 5th most TDs is something I want to be a part of from a fantasy angle. Right now it's just a hold and hope they get healthy situation.

Wow those trade offers are all abysmal. The only one even remotely 'ok' is Michael and Jennings for Wilson but even that's pushing it to me. But Eddie Royal and Rod Streeter? The owner must of thought your were tripping on some pretty serious LSD to think that was even a remotely real offer.

Some people had Wilson that high -- I thought it was a mistake then also. I like Wilson, but he still carries a bunch of big time question marks as to receiving usage, long term role, and durability -- similar to Michael. Michael has more competition (at least until Lynch's contract balloons in 2015) but he'll likely be stepping into a better situation in a younger offense eventually. Wilson's biggest problem moving forward might be the huge decline of the Giants' offensive line, and that's generally not a quick fix. NY feels like much more of a passing team to me now than they were earlier in the Coughlin era.

Otherwise, Vick fumbled a bunch against them (big shock there, Vick hasn't been able to hold onto the the ball his entire career) and that's it. But there's a big difference from a QB being blind side strip sacked and a RB being striped. Just saying, they're a great defense but they aren't really hawks in terms of forcing fumbles.

I'll agree with this... as of this moment I'm willing to say they can definitely be run on. At least until further notice. JAX you just stack 8 or 9 in the box and dare Blaine Gabbert to beat you... not difficult to shut down MJD there. Dallas just abandoned the run. Philly completely lit them up on every single run they attempted. Not only did Vick have 4 for 99 but Shady also recorded 20 for 158. 10 of Shady's 20 carries were for 5 yards or more and 3 of the runs resulted in 18, 30, 41. I'm not saying Wilson is Shady or even that the Giants can run block that well for Wilson to have this kind of chance. But the runs will be there, I fully expect to see WIlson get at least 15 carries in this game and all he needs in a small hole to run. It wouldn't be insane to think he'll have a good game this week (finally). If the Giants are smart they'll use a lot of Wilson early to try and keep Justin Houston at bay as much as possible.

I'm rolling with Wilson in my one league this week as my options are really better him and Ridley. Ridley looks almost drop able at this point as the Pats are winning and still not using him.

Brown won't be back until week 11. He shouldn't be a factor in your decision to acquire Wilson now in a redraft league.

I'm trying to target Wilson in a re-draft. Finding it hard to gauge the proper trade value for him. Was thinking of someone like Tavon Austin to a WR needy team. But then I wonder about Brown coming back and it becoming a committee again. I watched his limited runs from the Panthers game. He looks good IMO. He still is the primary kick returner too it appears. I see most of the talk in here being dynasty trades. Anyone getting him in re-draft leagues? Curious to see what his going rate is

If you buy low on Wilson in week 3 you're expecting production to get you into the playoffs. If he carves out the role many of us predicted by playing exceptionally well then Brown coming back won't hurt him any more than Scott or Jacobs will have during weeks 4-10.

In redraft I would consider Hartline if I needed a receiver. In dynasty the above statement is true, if you are serious about getting your hands on Wilson then bring a decent offer or you are likely to get no answer or a decline with no counter

This coming week may be the perfect storm for Wilson... to find his way to the bench forever. That KC defense at home is scary, they are very hawk like getting to the ball. Granted two games have come against turnover prone teams Philly and Jacksonville, but man this could make or break him for the year and beyond in Coughlin's eyes, which at this point is all that matters. I believe opportunities will come this Sunday for Wilson, let's hope he makes good on that and not repeat his week 1 performance. One way or another, the wait is almost over.

No, I'm not really 'throwing it out' I'm using logic and usage to determine I think the rushing defense leaves more to be desired than people are seeing.

Murray only got 12 carries in that game, and honestly I've never been high on Murray in the slightest anyway. He blew up this week, he averages about 2-3 big games a season and then about 2.0ypc in every other game on the season. He's not that good.

MJD hasn't been good yet this season. OAK held him to 2.7 ypc and KC held him to 3.0. He's been trash all season. Whether that's him or the teams troubles or whatever it may be, it doesn't matter. Saying "Oh they shut down MJD" isn't really meaningful as MJD has looked about as good as Isaiah Peed this season.

Sooo yeah, I'll sort of 'ignore' the first two games. I'll put slight weight into the Murray shut down and zero into the MJD shut down. And say that the actual run defense is probably more like 60-70% of McCoy than anything.
