Exactly !!! We new that Wilson has an amazing TD per touch % and now it's even better!

Today tells me...
1) They were going to rely on him.
2) He is going to get some carries inside the 10.
3) Jacobs fumbles as well just
As a FF player I don't care if the guy is good. All I care are the numbers that he puts up. He can put up 30 for 62 yards with 2 tds and I would love it.

Yes, because coaches love to give guys averaging less than 3 ypc, 30 carries every week....

I'm not going to say things look great or even decent for Wilson at this point, but to point out his 6-16-1 line from today as if they were full game stats is just ridiculous.
He was on his way to an OK day today... maybe 70 yards or so with a TD already in the bank.
That said, the Giants are a mess, and Brown should step into a significant role as soon as he is eligible.

We knew coming into the season that Wilson had issues with fumbling and blocking and that he was under sized to be a featured back. We also THOUGHT he was an above average runner. So, far the negatives are still there but he really hasn't shown himself to be a great running back who can create without a good hole.

There is a vast difference between a "good hole" and having to break multiple tackles in the backfield on a regular basis.

look at today's bears saints game.
bears lost, while having superior offensive stats. im sure Sean Payton is happy with 28 carries for 2.4 YPC and the win.
Bears - 18 carriers at 5.2 YPC
Saints - 28 carries at 2.4 YPC
same in the passing game, bears had 90 more passing yards.
each QB had a rating of 128(cutler) and 120(brees)

Again, the 32 year old has-been they grabbed off the street because no other team wanted him had a better day running the footbal behind that same O Line.

Most of you Wilson lovers are missing the point. It really doesn't matter how good or bad the guy is as an NFL RB at this point. It's abundantly clear that in FF terms any and all Giants' RBs are dog poop right now.

The imploding train-wreck - I'll trademark that - that is this Giants team makes it borderline impossible to evaluate any of their skill position players.
Anyone who doesn't see that, whether they are trumpeting Wilson's skills or comparing him the street FAs, simply doesn't understand the concept of "team sport".

I mean every football analyst who has ever evaluated David Wilson has called him elite. He should surely get a higher ypc than Brandon Jacobs?

The same goes for those that are say that each game is more evidence that Wilson sucks. The team - the terrible offensive line play, bad throws by Eli and curious and predictable coaching and play calling - makes not only the position useless for fantasy purposes right now but the evaluation of the players at the position difficult to say the least.

I'm convinced, if this thread has taught me anything it is that David Wilson is as good a blocker as Da'rel Scott and and a TD machine who despite having no O'line is still a great fantasy player.
My only question is does his one touchdown make him a sell high or a buy low?
This isn't how football works. Do you even watch the games or do you spend your time here trolling people instead? On 6 carries he got hit in the backfield at least 2 times on direct hand offs. I don't know how to break this to you, but you don't seem to understand much about football.

I'd ask what they were watching that lead them to being down on him. When he finally got meaningful touches in week 13, he averaged 5.72 YPC for the rest of the year.

I could be wrong, but aren't you the same guy who thought it was unimportant to discuss TDs when evaluating Jacobs vs Wilson today?
Aren't TDs an important part of fantasy football in most leagues?
Let me know when it's the right time to talk about a football player's overall skills vs pure stats although I suspect the right time for each is when it supports whatever point you're attempting to make.

You got me. David Wilson is a fantastic stud who will never be fantasy relevant due to his team being trash.
I guess that is way better than me saying he is a average back who will never be fantasy relevant due to his team being trash.
Let me know if there is anything else I don't understand about football that doesn't change the fantasy results.

I always thought people were just whining too much when they said these forums were getting hard to read. I get it now.
I am a Wilson fan and owner, he has looked horrible this year. To say this is all his fault is stupid and short sighted. This team is a train wreck, and he hasn't helped either. Very few if any running backs would be doing well on this team. We still don't know what Wilson is or will be because the coaching is horrible, the quarterback is horrible, the o-line is horrible, the defense is horrible, even the receivers played horrible in spots.
It is tough to listen to all the whining on both sides of the Wilson fence though.

Look he put up 6 - 16 - No that isn't great at all in fact it is terrible, but he was hurt and couldn't finish the game. Have you seen the rest of the Giants backfield this year? Jacobs 11 - 37 in the same game. This is on the entire team, the line isn't blocking, the coaching staff has telegraphed their running plays, and Wilson, Scott, and Jacobs have also made mistakes running the ball.
I told you he was going to suck - Really? You predicted that the entire Giants team would be this bad? I doubt it. You got the right answer but it was pure luck, if you were so smart you wouldn't be proclaiming your genius on a free message board about fantasy football.

He has elite talent - How do you know? He has one really good game in the pros. We have no idea if he will be good or not, plenty of guys have had a ton of talent and just never figured it out.
It is all the teams fault - If he was that good he would help make the line better, not every time but sometimes, I have yet to see him do it this year. Cruz is that good and he still has done well even when the rest of the team hasn't.
I said it before I own Wilson and I liked what I seen from him in college. He was a first round pick for a reason but right now none of us have any idea whether he will make it or not, he has shown flashes of being great and he shown flashes of being a complete bust. No one predicted it would be this bad for him or the Giants, and until this team can even be below average we will have no idea what he will be.
