Deangelo Hall Underrated? (1 Viewer)

During one of the pre-season games the announcers explained Deangleo Hall had been working both sides of the field so he can move around to cover opponents top wide outs. If this concept sticks I would think he will see a ton of balls this year. This should result in his INT's and tackles going up significantly. Also with his speed he is a threat to take any of his INT's to the house as well. Any one hear if the Falcons are still planning on moving him around in this fashion.

The problem is shut-down corners just don't put up numbers with any consistency. He'll have a couple of games where puts up nice numbers (the game or two when he takes in an INT), but will give you very little in the other games. [see Champ Bailey]If you are in a league where you have to start a CB and not just any DB, he'll have some value. But otherwise, I'd stay from him.

He's far from a shut down corner. He hasn't even played a full year, and he got burned a bunch last year.

True. Was using the phrase "shut-down" in its liberal form, referring to his role rather than his playing ability. Whatever you want to call him, because of his role, he'll put up numbers similar to those put up by the likes of Champ Bailey and Quentin Jammer. So, not much value.
