Deangelo misses practice, but Stewart did practice today (1 Viewer)

If Williams sits, it looks like it will be a gametime scratch. Given that, I'd expect both Fox and Williams to say they expected him to play. No sense in giving the Bucs more info than they have to.Any chance they keep Williams active but just don't play him Sunday? I'd be nervous about penciling Stewart in as the starter without Williams being officially ruled out.
I wouldn't be nervous starting Stewart if Williams WAS playing, let alone not playing. He should have good numbers either way.

I doubt it. The Panthers have a lot of injuries, and I don't think they would waste an active day roster spot on Williams if they didn't feel he can contribute in the game.

Maybe this would be a thread of it's own but what does everyone see as a projection in a ppr for this week? Will here be anyone else that may take significant carries from Stewart? FBGs projects him for only 18 carries against Tampa but does project carries from Williams still. Safe to assume that a late scratch for Williams that you combine those 2 numbers for projections?

I say he goes for 26 for 120 and a TD, 3 catches for 25 yards.

**Stewart owner**

From Rotoworld:

Panthers beat writer Darin Gantt is "leaning toward" believing DeAngelo Williams (questionable, ankle) will play Sunday against the Bucs.

So are we. Coach John Fox intimated that it was more important Friday for Williams to get treatment rather than practice, but he still expects his starting tail back to play this week. Barring a Sunday morning setback, Williams will be active.

I was searching blogs to find news on this, didn't find anything later than what's already been posted. But I did find this. Good grief.
