DeAngelo Williams misses practice with an illness (1 Viewer)

Car homers chime in and let us know what illness he has.

"DeAngelo Williams was held out of Wednesday's practice with an illness.

Players listed with an "illness" on the injury report typically only miss a day, though Williams' sickness is undisclosed. Check back Thursday for an update. It's unlikely that he's in danger of missing Week 5 against Chicago."

He's suffering from pantheritis, a gastro-intestinal disorder caused by playing in a putrid offense.

Not happening..
:bag: Guys do actually get sick during the season. Crazy eh? <-- D'Angelo owner who wishes it were actually true. Not liking his prospects against the Bears this weekend with 0 threat of the pass.

Honestly haven't been paying attention. What's the chance either Carolina RB gets dealt?

The only reason this won't get done is the Packers aren't going to give up more than a 3rd for DeW, which is basically what the comp pick will be for the Panthers. I doubt the Panthers would pass up a 2nd if it was offered to them.

Zero. Richardson is too cheap to spend any effort trading a guy that he is going to lose at the end of the year.
Obviously, you are exagerating. I don;t think there is much of a chance but we have already seen two deals - when normally we see ZERO in season. I think there is a chance that GB got on the phone after Moss was dealt and would be willing to rent Williams.A 3rd might not get it done but I think a conditional two might.

If he were to actually get traded, expect it to be for something ridiculous, like a conditional 6th rounder. Carolina is the worst team in the NFL at making trades.

With that said, a trade isn't happening.

I think Carolina would somehow manage to throw one of their futures 1st's in there.
You mean like trading a second 2011 second round pick for Amani Edwards. you mean like trying to conform a QB to a WR/KR? This is by far their worse move EVER! I'm frankly embarrassed that I'm a fan after that trade.

I think the year they traded to get Otah in the 1st after already selecting Stewart in the 1st was a great move. It's easy to bash teams for things that haven't or may not work out as in the Edwards move, but people seem to forget the things that do work out like the Otah trade.

When he(Otah) plays...any idea when he'll be back? Couple of weeks, playoffs, maybe next year?

I'm on a panther mailing list, and he has apparently been quoted as saying that he isn't sure why he wasn't placed on PUP. And that the soonest he realistically sees himself returning is the end of November. But I don't have any real source for that.

Trying to raise Clifton on google chat now. There was a blurb about this on his blog. People who are saying a 2nd may be too much are nuts. DWill is a proven talent. You could draft 10 RBs in the second round over the years and you may not end up with one DWill.

The Packers' defense is falling apart at the seams. It sounds like they're going to lose Nick Barnett for the year. They've already lost Morgan Burnett and Justin Harrell to season ending injuries. It sounds like Chillar's season is in doubt as well. Collins and Shields are dinged up. Jenkins is playing with a cast. Brad Jones can't get on the field.

I'm not sure a swing for the fences makes much sense for the Packers anymore.

That is awful to hear on Barnett.Sheesh.Yes, this makes it even less likely that GB is buying a RB. If they lose both Chillar and Barnett, that is very bad news. I think they can get by at safety, but man. This is not looking good.

As an owner of both Williams and Stewart, I am hoping one of them misses a game for something.. anything.. just please someone miss ONE game here and there!

wouldn't an offensive swing for the fences make more sense right about now? More offense can help cure a decimated defense.

Is Carolina going to resign Williams? I don't think so. Instead of letting Williams walk in FA, they should get something in return.
