Deep sleeper articles (1 Viewer)

I just got done reading your posted deep sleeper article. You've only mention a few deep sleepers like QB Derek Anderson. However for the most most of them were not even sleepers let alone deep sleeper. I'll give Trent Green as sleeper but Garcia come guys lets list some real sleepers instead of the obvious.

A sleeper is a player who has an opputunity but alsdo has no expectation. Classic example of a sleeper was Marques Colston last year. Not Garcia, not Marty Booker.

Sleeper was defined in the article as players outside of the top 150.

Players like Martin Nance, WR Min. No clear cut good WR there, someone has to step up, right? RIGHT?
I just posted this in the Vikings thread, but every time I hear his name mentioned in the camp reports it's because he caught another ball near or in the end zone. I think he may fill the role Marcus Robinson did last year - the "jump ball guy". Nance is very tall at 6'5" and looked good when I was at camp last week.It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him catch 6-8 td's on less than 30 catches this year. The Vikings WR depth chart will look something like this:B. Wade* T. Williamson * S. Rice M. Nance B. McMullen A. Allison

Although I do like Nances' potential,I find it hard to believe that Tavaris Jacksonwill complete 6-8 TDs to any one player on the Vikings team in 2007.

I forgot to add that that leaves no TDs for the remaining crew. :lol:But seriously, I think you'll see the Vikes offense nickle and dime the team all the way down the field with very few big plays from the passing game. That leaves wide open the opportunity to throw a lot of red-zone TDs.BTW - Reports from camp are that Troy Williamson still can't catch. He dropped another two yesterday. Apparently today was better. I personally wouldn't draft him in any scenario.Conversely, Shiancoe is growing on me. He's shown soft hands in camp. FWIW.

The Vikings WR depth chart will look something like this:

B. Wade*

T. Williamson *

S. Rice

M. Nance

B. McMullen

A. Allison

AndyDo you think Troy is still worth holding onto in a larger dynasty (25 player roster). Or is it really time to totally drop him.

Despite Rice being "3rd" on the depth chart, they envision using him as Moss was his rookie season with Carter and Reed. It would not suprise me if Rice was the led the team in yards and TDs, while Wade led in receptions. Much of this is dependent on Williamson growing up as well.

Tavaris Jackson will barely hit 15 tds this year if he's lucky. I doubt close to half of them will go Nance...

Martin Nance did real real real well in Bills camp last year then was no where to be found in any pre-season game.

Alot of us Bills fans were pumped we got a UDFA steal and thought he'd make the team or atleast practice squad.
