Deep WW WRs for Week 7 (1 Viewer)

Week 7 is brutal in terms of bye weeks. And for those of us in bigger leagues, here is a list of guys that are out on most peoples waiver wires in case you are in desperate need of a flex.

Randy Moss

Titus Young

Earl Bennett

Steve Smith (Rams)

Derek Hagan

Devin Hester

Doug Baldwin

Kyle Williams

Josh Morgan

Who do you like? Any more?

I'm gonna have to dig deep in my league (PPR) with Julio Jones on a bye. The WW has little to offer and the ones I'm looking at now are Earl Bennett and Justin Blackmon. Bennett's expected to play and I think the game with Detroit will feature plenty of points so the Bears may be throwing it a good amount. I'm not big on Blackmon but he's been getting more targets the last two games and the matchup is outstanding. Of course that could be negated by the fact Blaine Gabbert is the Jags' QB and he stinks. Another guy I'm considering is Santana Moss if Garcon is out again. He's gotten a little more involved and maybe his role continues to grow.

I don't know if this makes the "deep" WW WR's list, but I have to choose in one league between starting Chris Givens and Dominick Hixon. Leaning Givens. Which is ironic since I'm going to cut him from my roster in another league to pick up a bye week QB.

Stephen Hill. The Jets have a terrible passing game but Hill is the best WR for the Jets. He had 3 targets in limited playig time last week after returning from his hammy injury.

I'm going Blackmon, 10 & 8 targets in the last two games. Could easily become Gabbert's security blanket.

If Graham and Lance Moore are out, Devery Henderson could be a nice play..
Agreed. Playing Henderson vs TB this week
Moore practiced fully today.
Well darn. I still don't have much choice. Guess that makes Henderson a true deep play this week. Hoping for one long TD bomb. Also agree with an earlier post about Stephen Hill. Even as a rookie, he still has to be the most talented WR on the Jets roster currently, right?

What counts as deep? I'd start either Avery or Hilton with a fair bit of confidence this week. Haden will be on Wayne, and Luck has to throw it somewhere.

Agree with this. From the OP's list, I like Doug Baldwin.

Feel better about yourself #### Boy.

I'd give Cecil Shorts a long look if you're desperate. Has been insanely productive in few opportunities, Gabbert seems to look for him when he's on the field and he's scheduled to start this week. Should be a safe bet for at least a couple catches and it wouldn't surprise me if he has does something like 4-55-1 and hangs onto the starting spot.

 me too. Thanks for sharing!

Here are guys I am looking at due to bye week:

Devin Hester

Jerome Simpson

Leonard Hankerson

Cecil Shorts

Armon Binns

Stephen Hill. The Jets have a terrible passing game but Hill is the best WR for the Jets. He had 3 targets in limited playig time last week after returning from his hammy injury.
S Hill gets my vote, and my start. 4 games, 3 TD catches. In his second week back from the hamstring injury against a very poor Pats pass D, especially at the deep safety position, Hill is a nice sleeper here. Could be a 3 for 32, could be a 6 for 95 and a TD. Kid is very fast. Questionable hands. Good tall RZ target. Great deep threat with a QB who can't throw deep. Having said that... Sanchez can on occassion throw the deep ball accurately. The matchup is perfect. Everything else has warts. (mostly Sanchez)

I am starting to get some lineup nirvana and feeling like Bennett could be a sneaky play this week. He received some praise from both the QB and the coach. There is no chemistry issues between him & Cutler. Lions are having injury problems. Jeffrey was getting about 5 targets in his last 3 games. Bennett was avg about the same before going down. Monday night game always brings a +1 in my book of FF myths. 4 game career vs Lions Bennett has 18 Catches 244 yards. This is a huge game for the Lions. A must-win. I see Cutler throwing more than 40 times for the 1st time this year.

This is exactly what I was looking for, info on Bennett, with injuries and byes he may be a must start for me. Has anyone heard any updates on his "sickness" I heard the hand is fine, but that he got sick and didn't practice Friday and never saw anything from Saturday. Thanks in advance for any additional info.
