I kept him in a Dynasty team last season after he was something like top 5 iin points for IDP. Now i see on some depth charts he is listed behind some guy named Bolley. What gives? Here I though I had picked up a young Stud LB and now he is a backup. i know he is kind of small but I checked, he is a very similar size to many outside LB's including Bolley. Do you guys think he will work his way back into a starting spot or should i plan on dropping him once my FA draft begins? Any insite would be appreciated!

This is not a suprise. I traded him early this off season expecting the Atl LB corp to have significant changes.

Atl LB Demorrio Williams's value resulted from injury to Hartwell - not his athletic ability. His tackle numbers were the result of teams running directly at him. He struggled getting off blockers and allowing the RB to gain 4-5 yards. The majority of his tackles were past the line of scrimmage. Not the sort of value a LB needs to bring to the Defense. While it's a nice FF value, he is a liability to the DC.

Boley is a better SLB in his coverage skills, but his main asset is his ability to shed guards and tackles on running plays. Williams is a backup LB.

I'd suggest moving Demorrio if you still can.

:goodposting: You hit that one right on the head! Too many times, owners take FF success as a sign of great play on the field. He may one day be a great player both FF wise and as a NFL player, but he will have to wait a season for us to see his progress.RAPTURE

D-Mo is not a bad player. He is just a huge liability against the run ... but he can really hit it from side to side ...

A great utility player, a great player in the nickel and dime, but not a great three down player ...

Atlanta will use him as their Thomas Davis. He will line up at Nickle Linebacker, and "Rover" Safety in 4-4 Alignments. He'll be on the field, but he won't be a base starter. So his fantasy value is limited a lot. He will not be the starter, unless Brooking goes down to a injury.
