Democratic Debate (1 Viewer)

Thom Hartman just did a sanders/mcgovern comparison tonight. His main point was that the youth of the mcgovern voter didn't go to a very high age. people around age 30 didn't have the same sense of betrayal by their government that people do today.

Wasn't Mcgovern's VP pick undergoing shock therapy a big deal?

Eitherway, polls show Sanders doing very well in a general election, so any comparison as far as Bernie not being electable just isn't based in reality.
The Republican attack machine would love to run ads against him in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and Virginia.

Gotta love the balls on Hillary. It's not my super pac while she takes their money.

If Hillary was a man, she'd be wearing a suit, and nobody would say anything about her clothes. Bernie looks sloppy half the time, and people think that makes him look genuine. If Hillary looked disheveled at all it would be the headline. That is part of the sexism she faces on a regular basis.

Did he say that? Because that's just simply not true. Young people were being drafted and sent to fight in a war they didn't believe in, and they were scared of dying. You bet they felt betrayed.
I'll post the video when it goes up, I'm probably butchering his segment.

mYou're right, no one has talked about his hair, trumps hair or Christies weight

What you think is sexism is really people just thinking she sucks

Hillary looks haggard if she doesn't hide her wrinkles with make-up (she looks good today). but a balding Bernie looks wise.

Barclay's acquired Lehman Bros. NA - they have unloaded a ton of cash into the Clintons and the Foundation.

And Barclays is itself one of the prosecuted banks getting the DPA treatment.

Hillary lost that segment IMO. She's always going to lose any discussion about donors.

Foreign policy coming up; Hillary will probably win that.

Well he's doing pretty well in Virginia I think. Democrats will have to spend money defending Virginia, New Hampshire, Iowa, if Hillary is the candidate. He's doing better than she is so if you think it's such a landslide than put your money on republicans to win, they are at least +120, so you should make plenty.

I would if it was Bernie, but I think Hillary is winning the nomination. If Bernie becomes favored there, he will be the +XXX and the Republicans will be the -XXX.

And you're just so pleasant as always.

She said Obama was tough on Wall Street. She really has no idea what primary she's in or where the electorate is. Same mistakes of 08.

agreed on both points, but foreign policy is not very important to Democrats...will help her in the general.
