I disagree on that 3rd and long call.Rod Smith is too good not to try and get him the ball. 30 yards is pretty easy for Elam.Spread the formation, put Bell in the backfield, bring Putz back in. At least try for 7.

pretty dirty hit on Lelie if you ask me
why, because he hit him after a tipped ball?
no...it was just obvious the ball had gone by and Lelie had let up - then the defender speared him helmet first in the small of the back....i'm not crying, just making an observation.

I'm fine with it ... maybe borderline dirty, but it's probably exactly what he was taught to do in that situation.

You kinda have to - it helps make up for all the Lynch cheap shots we'll see today.

How is Cedrick Wilson of all WRs in the NFL torching Denver?
Two catches, 29 yards, 1 TD.Torching?

Wilson was wide open because Foxworth was peeking in the backfield in the red zone. Too much "I wanna be like Champ" out of him there.

Just a good route / throw on the 2nd catch.

Carry on.

Just once...once....i'd like to see a player not stand up and flop his arm around for a flag after an incomplete pass.

Denver's D isn't really even playing that badly, but giving up 5 out of 6 3rd down plays has made it really tough. A lot of 3rd-and-long conversions, too.

what a crock of ####...that's a friggin fumble
And he recovered it.
so. should have been 2nd and 17, not 2nd and 10. moot point, but the refs were wrong: again.
then change the tuck rule, not the call on the field.
Tuck rule wasn't even in effect there...watch it again: he finished pulling it down and then knocked it out of his throwing and with the other one....AFTER he had pulled it down.

Exactly.I said earlier that 3rd down conversions matter just as much as turnovers.

Denver needs to make some stops.

Unbelievable. The story this half has absolutely nothing to do with the refs, who I feel have done a great job.

It's all about 3rd-down defense for Denver.

Another 3rd down conversion, definitely the stat of the game so far

Roth very impressive on this drive.Denver could be in a bit of trouble.

I disagree. These long drives are awful. First and goal now. Haven't forced a single punt. Denver's D is killing them. They can't get the ball back for their offense until points are on the board, and Pittsburgh is about to go up two scores. While practically running out the entire second quarter on this 14-15 play drive.
