DeShaun Foster practices (1 Viewer)

The Thursday Players in the News reads as:

"*** Thursday Update *** RB DeShaun Foster (CAR) did not practice on Thursday and remains questionable for this weekend. He's expected to start though. "

Update from the Charlotte observer (among many sources) says that he did today, however:

"Otherwise, the news was good, as every other player on the team's injury report practiced, including running backs DeShaun Foster (toe) and Nick Goings (ankle)."

Just an FYI.

Ah yes... a reminder to myself... now that my fantasy football thaw is done... when I'm thinking of DeShaun, all excited that he's the lone featured RB in Car... how annoying it will be having him (as I'll foolishly draft him... again)

Deshaun Foster will play to his ability and play all season.

Remember last year he was in 15 out of 16 games in the regular season but was splitting carries for the first half of the season.

He has had broken bones which are bad luck injuries. Not injury prone.

He has amazing skills and will light it up this season IMO.

Let's hope so. He can't be that unlucky to suffer ANOTHER injury...can he?

Ummm ... Pennington?Bad luck happens.

HTH.
...and Grossman. We all know that these guys have been hurt for numerous consecutive years, but doesn't the laws of probability have to take over sooner or later and allow them to stay injury free? Seriously, wouldn't you just retire if you were injured 5 years in a row and never got to sniff the field? I think I'd pull a Yatil Green and just disappear. That's why I'm holding onto Foster and Grossman (traded Pennington)...they gotta get lucky sooner or later.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Splitting carries kept him alive. Why do you think Fox let them split carries when Davis was clearly so ineffective? Because he needed a healthy DeShaun to assist the offense and be there late in the season. He knew that if Foster had taken over early, he would've been stuck with Davis @ RB all year with no viable COP back.Anytime this guy is given a semblance of a starter workload, he falls to pieces.

No.

DeAngelo Williams bandwagon is gassing up and is getting ready to go.

All aboard.
I'm in. I just hope his value doesn't skyrocket during preseason to the point of my not getting him.

agreed!Hopefully no pre-season hype for him, and no injuries returning punts either.

Sorry to burst you guys's bubbles, but in the mock drafts I've taken part in, he's been going in the 2nd round. Ahead of players like KJ and Jamal Lewis and such. Seems like a huge reach for a guy that's not even a starter.

Wow. Are any of your league members from North Carolina?

That's way too early. especially since he will probably get little opportunities early in the season, unless DeShaun gets injured in pre-season - totally possible.

...which is why there isn't a DA Williams thread (yet)....Don't know how long we can keep him under wraps though. Kinda makes me wish some of my drafts were earlier.

The only mocks I've participated in have been on thesportingnews.com. I've done about 4 of them and DWill is going way too early!
