DeShaun Foster vs. Rams (1 Viewer)

DeShaun Foster put up surprisingly decent numbers vs. Miami (18-76, 5-25), and could draw a sweet matchup vs. St. Louis if Gore is still out.

If Gore can't go, would anyone confidently start Foster this week, based on the matchup? In PPR, those five catches are a good indicator that they're at least using him similarly to Gore.

i think i would. i would amost prefer that gore was out so foster can carry the load. if gore does play i would not be confident starting either, but thats my opinion

I have turner, CJ3 and foster, I'd like to see gore out so i can plug foster into my #2 RB spot. The rams' defense looks aweful.

He looked much better than I thought possible last week.

Rams are terrible.

I'd roll with him.

fwiw--rachal and baas are getting a great push in the run game. if adam snyder can go, upgrade foster as well. barry sims is awful

I picked up Foster off the WW last week, looking ahead at this matchup. I have Chris Johnson, and I knew he is playing PIT this week, plus might be resting, so I knew that I needed a fallback option. Let's hope SF decides to rest Gore this week. I'd start Foster over CJ.

Same dilemma, and I'm probably starting Foster over CJ3 also.

This matchup is HUGE.

This guy is on the waiver wire in your league and could win you the championship if Gore is out vs. the Rams.

For those not paying attention the Rams D is putrid.

Foster going for 110 and 2 scores is a legit possibility.

I need a Gore status up date!

DNP on Wednesday...

I'm reminded of this from 3 years ago

Barlow was the starter, missed the STL game and Hicks + Gore both put up prime numbers (I remember starting Gore in one of my playoff games out of desperation)....

Here we are 3 years later, and now perhaps Gore misses the game, and Foster produces similar results?

I dropped Chr Johnson to pick up Foster this week.

Due to lack of production last week from guys like Cutler, Portis, and Chr Johnson, I'm playing for 3rd.

Foster is in my starting lineup with P Thomas and S Jax, in front of both Portis and R Brown.

Fingers crossed that Gore sits.

Bump.

It's looking more and more like Gore won't play, so Foster could potentially have a huge week.

That being said, I'm having a hard time getting away from the "play who got you there" theory. I'm rolling with AJohnson/CJohnson/APeterson/Forte, and normally would choose between Marshall or Colston at flex.

Anyone else think the StL matchup would be too good to pass up?

In a league where I can start up to 2 flex RBs, or 4 total, I have 5 options --

Brian Westbrook

Thomas Jones

Pierre Thomas

(those 3 are definitely starting)

Brandon Jacobs

De'shaun Foster

I'm not sure how much or how well Jacobs will play given injury news recently. Sounds as if he was just being held back last week and should be a full go, but he shares carries and is playing against a better D vs Carolina. Foster, if Gore is out, ought to do well against STL. I'm still undecided here.

I stayed away from the Rhodes/Addai on Thursday, unfortunately.

By doing so I'm now left with either Foster, Dunn or Pope. I pretty sure I'm going Foster as that was my original plan.

Here in the Philly area we have a show called Fantasy Fix with John Hansen, The Fantasy Guru. This week Hansen stated that he was in an Experts League Final and was benching Addai/Rhodes and starting Foster. So I guess those of us that are going with Foster are in pretty good company.

IF he starts over Gore, then he's a good play against the awful Rams run D. but, of course, whether you start him depends on your alternatives. i will definitely start AD, who should have a great week against Atlanta, but then I have to start two of:

Larry Johnson, Warrick Dunn, Kevin Faulk, Maurice Morris, and Foster.

LJ should run the ball a bit more this week in the cold.

Dunn has a tougher matchup vs San Diego

Faulk could be a real sleeper (but it's not a PPR league)

Morris could also be a good sleeper, but he won't get the TD carries

That leaves Foster, who could go for over 75 yards running, 35 receiving, with a TD. Will probably pair him with LJ to start along with AD in our championship game.

If it were me with that group, assuming Gore doesn't play, I'd start LJ and Foster.Good luck.

I am starting S. Hill and Bruce already, so I am hesitant to start 3 players from the same team. Right now it's LJ over Foster as my flex. Am I crazy?

gore, turner and cj3 carried me to the game. starting turner, lj, and foster(assuming). and am having last moment thoughts of running mcclain over lj here at gametime.
