Detroit 3rd WR Battle (1 Viewer)

this topic becomes relevant now that Calvin is expected to miss some time...

Who is the guy now? Comes down to Fuller v Broyle v Ross

seems to me like Fuller has the most upside so that's who I acquired this week before Rotoworld says:

Lions WR Corey Fuller's role is likely to expand with Calvin Johnson (ankle) out.
Fuller has played a healthy 113 snaps this season, but has caught only 4-of-7 targets for 69 yards while being used primarily as a field-stretching decoy. With Johnson out, Fuller will likely be expected to do a lot more. Even with an expanded role, Fuller is nothing more than a hail-mary play in super deep leagues. Oct 11 - 10:42 AM

Broyles is without question a more polished receiver and route runner. Fuller is more of a one trick pony as a deep threat. If HAD to choose, I'd go Broyles but the targets will probably increase to Ebron & Pettigrew.

I really think you are getting quite desperate if you are looking here for a FF play this week though. This is a Stevie Wonder stab in the dark.

typical leagues probably not, but I play in 12x30 dynasty leagues where you have to be one step ahead of the breakout. Calvin is 29 and would benefit from a lighter workload. Pettigrew is a great blocker, but not an asset in the passing game, and Ebron is still learning because TE is so hard when you have to spend half time with WR's (running routes) and half time with OL (learning blocking schemes). There could be a slight probability one of these guys are useful and that's what you ask for in a waiver claim in that deep of league

Oh alright, that makes good sense then. I've been a little surprised that Broyles hasn't been able to overtake Ross for the slot. Ross can make a play but Broyles can be Tatesque with the ball in hands. He makes people miss and has reliable hands.
