Thinking about starting Alex Smith over Stafford

Obviously the stl o line is not on par with the 49ers but the lions D line was tearing it up sunday. They looked really good, I would expect alot more of a pass rush than what the packers put out there.

I wouldn't do that.

It's pretty close if you get dinged for INTs. Might even give Smith the edge if it's 4 pt TDs.

I'll take the 49er offense over DET's offense, and think Stafford will throw a couple of picks and get sacked often and early.

Holy overreaction Batman. Smith had 211-2TDs. Even in my league with -2 for INTs, Smith had 20 points and Stafford had 17. So in Stafford's worst game and Smith's great game (all kinds of articles about Smith outplaying Rodgers and SF offense being the best/better than GB offense), Smith outscored him by 3 points. In 2011, Stafford had 12 games that he had greater than 211 yards AND 2+ TDs. In 2011, Alex Smith had 3 and Alex Smith had 1 game of 3 TDs and had a high (in a different game) of 291 yards. Stafford had 7 games of 3+ TDs, including 2 of 4 and 2 of 5 and he had 10 games with more yards than Smith's highest yardage of 2011. Stafford had almost 2000 more yards and 24 more TDs in 2011.Let's not get silly now. Stafford is such a better FF QB than Smith it is almost ridiculous and as seen above, SF's pass defense isn't all that against solid QBs. I would put my money on SF to win the game, but I would put my money on Stafford FF wise and not think twice.
