Deuce Knee Info (1 Viewer)

Didn't McAllister get hurt after the game was well out of hand?
3rd quarter.....................I think I get your point here. But you know, even Brett FArve was still in the 3rd quarter throwing TD passes.I don't blame a coach for having a playing in the game early to mid-3rd quarter in the game.

They don't get played the kind of money they do to sit on the sideline because they didn't show up that week. You want to be down 52-3 against a freaken team that hasn't won yet this year..........then get out there. Don't hide behind the bench, get out there in front of the TV cameras.

Wow, i really feel for Deuce and all of NO and their organization. What a tough year. I was just about to trade for Deuce as well, but was dragging my feet, lucky i never. Anyone one have any insight on who would be the better pickup at this time.....A.Smith or A.Stecker, in non ppr?edit: Stecker had an ankle injury, anyone know any details?

and my season is over :ptts:
No offense, but the way the entire Saints team looked yesterday, even with a healthy Deuce if this ends your season, you were on life support anyway. He wasn't going to win anything for you. We're you're playing catchup like the Saints were and will be, rushing yardage will not be piling up.
deuce wasnt my RB1. its a keeper, and i have alexander and culpepper as well. However, my WR's are Clayton, Johnson and Rod smith. My season, which was on life support, is now dead. Barlow is now my RB2

Thanks, I was thinking it was in the 4th quarter.

Thanks for pointing this out and giving me the chance to clarify Chaz.

I wouldn't make a move at RB, they're serviceable and the team is going nowhere.

The move I'm talking about with Brooks is OUT!  Meaning they will get something in return for him.  If they made a move at RB, they'd be giving something up.

Those two concepts are completely different.  With the situation that the Saints are in, I wouldn't be giving anything out for players, but would consider trading Brooks away for let's say a 2nd round pick, which would improve the team for the future.  Brooks will never take that team anywhere special.
What makes you think he is worth a 2nd round pick? Don't you think the other teams watch Saints games?
I don't, but QB is an important position and there could be 1 team out of the league that would be willing to pay that. Hell, the Cowboys gave a 3rd round draft choice for Henson..........with that in mind what makes you think they wouldn't give a 2nd for Brooks.

I feel your pain brother.......Clayton and johnson in particular. I'm glad you can't swear on here because just thinking and typing their names ticks me off.

No one will trade me again in my league. I got rid of Clayton, Jackson, McCallister last Wednesday.Seperated shoulder, knee surgery, out for the year.

Though not his fault, I think this may add another straw onto the camel's back for Hasslet.I feel for Deuce. I don't own him this year, but have always liked him.

so:1. how bad is stecker's injury?2. will one back be 'the guy' or will we see rbbc?3. which would you rather have of stecker/smith? i went ahead and picked up both of 'em.i finally got to drop m. bennett

I think that if you are able to pick up A. Smith and you are a D-Mac owner you are not losing that much. The Saints running game was going no where and A. Smith is not a terrible option. (D-Mac owner and now A. Smith owner)

just traded Deuce, K. Johnson, A. Brooks and S. HeidenforManning, S. Jackson and I. Brucejust over a week ago............sheeewwwwww, Dodged a bullet there

CBS SportsLine.com has learned through an NFL source that Saints RB Deuce McAllister (knee) is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. He was seen limping off the field at Green Bay in Week 5.

My recent run of season-ending RB injuries that killed my shot at first place :lmao:2003: Clinton Portis2004: Priest Holmes2005: Deuce McAllisterC'est la vie.

he was injury prone in college...

only a matter of time..
Come on now. The guy was mainly healthy logging a ton of carries for several years. It's called bad luck.
over achieved??? over used???

pushed his luck???

not once in college did he play a full year.

just sayin'

At least you are getting good production out of your TE's
:lmao:
yea, thanks guys
Shockey should be gone by next week with a knee injury. I have lost Walker, Burleson, Jackson, Vick, and Deuce to knee injuries. The way I figure it, Branch or Shockey is the next to go for my team, and after seeing your list Shockey makes more sense.

Here comes the A.Smith pick-up train. ALL ABOARD!!
CHOOO CHOOO the train is leaving the station!!!
Im picking up Stecker. CHOO CHOO
went with Smith....with Stecker hurt with an ankle injury, i wanted to go with the safe playCHOOOOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Stecker has only had 2 carries for -1 yards all season, Smith has 26 carries for 76 yards I would have to say that Smith is going to be the starter.

Likely out for year

The New Orleans Saints nightmarish season has turned even worse.

FOXSports.com has learned that the initial test on Pro Bowl RB Deuce McAllister has shown a torn ACL, meaning McAlister will miss the rest of this season.

McAllister limped off the field with approximately seven minutes remaining in the third quarter of Sunday's horrific 52-3 loss to Green Bay after twisting his right knee at the end of a screen pass. Initial x-rays were negative but the team didn't make a final prognosis until further examination today.
Ouch....just traded him Friday too. :P
:wall: :wall: In a keeper league where we keep 3 players, but only 1 player from each position I kept the following players:

Culpepper :X

Andre Johnson :X :X

and Deuce McAllister  Guess it's time to play for the :toilet: bowl and hope for better luck next season. :(
Now that is a pathetic situation. No way in your worst FF nightmares do you invision the first 5 weeks of the season going this way for those 3 guys!

I decided to pick up both Smith and Stecker...Had an extra spot last night so I picked up Smith then, and I just picked up Stecker for the one and only J.J. Arrington. Finally had a reason to let him go and with the bye week if I want him back bad enough he should be there.

Djax and Deuce owner here.My WR1 and RB1!!Good Grief. (And I was 3-1 about to be 4-1)( At least my league-mates now have a chance :excited: )

Have we seen for certain that it IS ACL? Every report I see says he is "Likely" done for the year because these are "Preliminary" tests. I have him in 1 redraft league, and do not want to drop him until I hear for certain.

The Blogger made me laugh

RB McAllister: "I'll Be Alright"

Brian Allee-Walsh, New Orleans Times-Picayune - [Full Article]

RB Deuce McAllister limped off the field with seven minutes remaining in the third quarter of the Sainst 52-3 loss after twisting his right knee at the end of a screen pass. X-rays taken were negative and an MRI is scheduled Monday. “I’ll be all right,’’ said McAllister, who rushed 11 times for 36 yards. “My foot got caught in the ground and I felt something in my knee. If it had been a closer game I think I could have put a brace on it and gone out and played. If I had to play a game tomorrow I’d probably be questionable. But I plan to play Sunday unless it’s something worse than it already is.’’

Give that McAllister owner a glimmer of hope--AND THEN YANK THE CARPET OUT 15 SECONDS LATER!!!! :lmao:

Please post here if that happened to you while reading the blogger. Thanks.

Almost every RB in the NFL will go down with a major injury if they are around long enough. Edge was spotless when he tore his ACL. Tomlinson has been spotless too, doesn't mean at some point he won't go down as well.

Don't say that....I have Alexander being "spotless" on my team.

2-15-NO35 (7:05) T.Bouman pass to D.McAllister to NO 37 for 2 yards (P.Lenon).That's the play he was hurt on, IIRC.GB was up *42-3* at the time.I'll let you make your own judgments after that.

Just when I pry my way back up into playoff eligibility this happens. Stick a fork in me I'm DONE. :sadbanana:  :clyde: :blackeye: :violin: :pokey: :own3d: :toilet: :censored:  :help:

Thank gosh I am RB heavy --Kevin Jones :X Lamont Jordan :D Caddy :football: FWP  Larry Johnson  Travis Henry  Druggie.and nowStecker. On Stecker -- do you remember last year, he stepped in and had a very good week when Deuce went down initially. I like Stecker over Ant Smith.Geez, Caddy and Jones are a little banged up for wk 6. I hope I can get production from them.

I read that he is going for a second opinion.
